Here's another good article - this one comes from New Zealand. Climate scientists there have shown that New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research created an uptrend in their weather charts by making early temperature readings lower and later ones higher. The paper is here:

The trick, unfortunately made some aspects of past climate hide extremes to exaggerate any warming in recent years.

And to think our "brilliant " prez is going to sign this bogus accord, regardless of it's consequences and very questionable scientific data. Just another nail in our childrens coffin by this admin. What can we really do if the data is being manipulated? Of course a trend will show.

This study came out in August:

A new 2,000-year-long reconstruction of sea surface temperatures (SST) from the Indo-Pacific warm pool (IPWP) suggests that temperatures in the region may have been as warm during the Medieval Warm Period as they are today.

But the scientists involved were so focused on seeing warming that they tried to figure out how to make the findings fit within their understanding. Another quote:

"The more interesting and potentially controversial result is that our data indicate surface water temperatures during a part of the Medieval Warm Period that are similar to today's," says Oppo. Northern Hemisphere temperature reconstructions also suggest that temperatures warmed during this time period between A.D. 1000 and A.D. 1250, but they were not as warm as modern temperatures. Oppo emphasizes, "Our results for this time period are really in stark contrast to the Northern Hemisphere reconstructions."

So once their own data disagrees with their view:

Oppo cautions that the reconstruction contains some uncertainties.

You don't see such "cautionary" notes on the data that supports warming.
