Weekly Account Tally Talk

It will be interesting to see who stops posting after the big losses.......we always lose an ego or two after losses......usually valuable posters, who just couldn't handle the public spanking.....

For those of you near the bottom of the tally, Don’t give up! Last year, at the end of July my YTD was -1.48%. In the last 4 ½ months of 2006 I made over 12%. So there is hope, the market will see new highs later on this year.

Since retirement investing is a 60-70 year proposition, it's interesting to see who's doing well long term. Some individuals are having a tough time this year. However, over a 2-3 period they're looking good. You know who you are.:cheesy:

Yeah, Show-me also made an incredible year end run as well. You don't have to be right all the time, just more often than you are wrong.

I just looked at Rokid's talley.

Dang- I shouldn't have looked. It was BBAAADDDD!

Hey, anyone- got a shoulders I can cry on?

(Took it on the chin the last three weeks- hit it exactly opposite of what really happened, and I'm now approaching ZERO for the year. I need to cry in a beer, please. )

Of the 118 people who are being tracked and have been in all year: mean average: 3.66%, overall average: 3.55%.

I see where the I fund is at slot #61. Since no one beat that fund last year, just wondering how many will beat it this year.

You should beat it by 1.73%. I noticed that you have been in it all year except for the first week of June.

Yep, the sell in may and stay away only worked a couple of weeks for me.
The I fund may finish in the red this year but, at least I'll be 1.73% ahead of it.

Jeeze--

Here I sit, after working hard trying to keep up with the Jones's , and I'm in 80th place.

Oh well.

There's always next year.......
