uscfanhawaii's account talk

A day like today sure lifted my spirits after feeling like I've been kicked in the dirt. I am sitting deep down in this bucket too (like 1010 on the AT), and am glad we will get out of the 1000 and below rankings. Lets hope this continues tomorrow.:)

Good to hear from you guys, Kneedn and czapor! I don't think today will be enough, but it is EXCITING to think we may be able to get back soon to TRIPLE DIGITS on the AT!!

I never thought that 999 would be a good thing. :(

Fight On!! :D

Well....STILL not up to triple digits. (darn those new members that keep shoving me down lower! ) This article is interesting "US Stock Markets Rise leaves Many Behind" U.S. stock market :worried:. It talks about the low volume since the beginning of the year, and that mostly retail investors have been sitting it out. Unfortunately, that has been a good description of me! :(

But now I intend to stay all in for a while!!

HEY!!!!
Where did everyone go on the AutoTracker?!
There were 1017 on Wednesday, and as of Friday it is down to 936!!
Not that I mind moving up over 60 places, but it's kind of an empty victory.....

Tom's probably cleaning up folks who haven't logged into the AT in awhile...

I just noticed and posted about the same thing! I'll bet RMI is right, I saw last week that a lot of people were close on their logins... I'm still at the bottom, but don't have as far to go to move up now... woot! :D

Re: AutoTracker Rules - and how to get started

Update is in red*

We now have over 1000 accounts on the AutoTracker, although some may not be displayed because of inactivity. Being "active" on the AutoTracker simply means logging in. You don't have to make any IFT's. You just need to sign into the AutoTracker or the Forum / Message Board occasionally so we know you are still around.

Here is a breakdown of penalties for inactivity. If you haven't logged into either the AutoTracker or the Message Board for:

  • 60 days: You are ineligible for prizes
  • 90 days: Your account will show up as "Hidden" on the standings pages. Simply signing in will get you back on
  • 180 days: Your account is delisted and you'll need to contact us to be reactivated
  • 1 year: Your account is deleted
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your account can also be deactivated if your email address in the AutoTracker is not current. If you didn't receive a copy of this message via email recently you may not have a current email address in your profile. Go to: http://www.tsptalk.com/tracker/tsp_user_profile.php to make any necessary changes.

* The change is now signing into the forum will also keep your AutoTracker account active.

Thanks for the explanation, NASA! I kinda knew the rules about delisting but not seeing ANY 'Hidden' accounts last week (or this week for that matter), I was surprised that so many went straight to 'delisted'.

Amazing how many on the AT are positive for the year. Less than a hundred of us are negative ytd.
But we are MOVING UP, too!!

I'm hanging right there with you my friend.;) We're at major support and should go up from here. Hope the market knows that this time. Let's race to the top.:) I think the market wanted me to be last but I'm fighting it and I got high hopes and the ones below us are invited to ride up with us.

I like the support theory! Even though I am still worried. :worried:

But I like our chances (and your determination!)......so let's ride what's left of this bull!

OK, now I'm really confused. :notrust:

I just fell back the 100 spots that I had gained just a few days ago! (Still third from the bottom, but 4 digits instead of 3 digits still hurts!) AND...no more woot!

NASA's explanation does not work, so I guess I will have to go with JKJ's explanation....BT must have hacked the system!!! :D:D

Don't worry. Once Hidden gets taken out, you will be back to 3 digits. I hope to see you in the middle of the pack soon.

Oh, yeah, I see the Hidden ones now! I guess the HIDDENs' names were taken out, then put back in as HIDDEN. Just coincidentally, BT came back online at the same time!! :suspicious:

thanks for the encouragement, HB! I really need it....especially after today's results! :(

By the way, I just noticed you are from AK...how do you like the new Locality Pay?! The CSRS people love it, especially if they are retiring this year. We expect a BIG exodus in Dec. I am on the HI COLA Committee, so I have been in touch with your AK COLA Committee off and on through the years. But then, I switched away from CSRS to FERS when it first came out in '84. So TSP is very important to me!

I retired from the Air Force as enlised man in 1983 in Honolulu. From then to Oct 31 2008 I worked for the city of Honolulu, and both the Navy and Army. I was FERS. I arrived in Anchorage on Nov 1st 2008. I remain retired. I highly recommend it.

Our fair city of Anchorage set a season record with 134 inches of snow. Season average is 59 inches.

Last week really set us back in our TSP fund. This week's start stinks. Let's hope for better days.

Looking at the recent Ocean Lists.....seems like everyone is in equities now. Especially the top, but really throughout the Autotracker. 2 problems. Since I am also 100% in, how the market goes, the AT goes. So no room for me to move up. :worried:
2nd, everyone being in like this makes me worried. As Tom likes to say, the market will do its best to disappoint the most people it can!

Looks like 35% out, 65% in on the total tracker. The top and bottom are both mostly in, while those sitting out are somewhere in the middle. Not sure what to make of that, but when we were building the wall of worry, it was closer to 50/50.

By the way, you're the one who pointed out TSP Wealth - did you notice it moved to 100% G for this week? Not sure what to make of that either. Too bad there's no explanation of the system on their site.

I'm still trying to figure out how that site lost money in 4 of the last 7 years. 2008 I understand, but 2009? :suspicious:
