uscfanhawaii's account talk

And TODAY is a good example of my thoughts on staying in equities in 2013.....too bad I didn't take my own advice!!!
(And the VERY next day after exiting, no less!! )
I bet you're glad you got out now. ;) If you really want in, you might be able to come back in at a lower entry price.

TSPwealth just went to 34/33/33 CSI from 50C/50S. Sayin it's time to get back into I.

I don't know....think I will wait thru this historically weak week, before jumping back in!

TSPwealth picked it! But I, of course, ignored it. Still at half/half G and F. :(

So now I sit at 666 (6.66%), which by itself is unnerving! At this point, I will likely stay out unless there is a significant (2% or more) drop.

I hope it will be a while. A long while. see me at triple 6 would be nice.

Well today it looks like your wish is the market's command!

By the way, TSPwealth.com has switched again....now 50/50 C and I. They dropped S altogether. Not sure why I keep reporting them....I have not been following them (unfortunately, and to my detriment :( ).

I guess I got back in a little too soon (or a little too late, depending on your point of view)! But I am buying into this dip! Question here, of course, is whether the 50 DMA will hold. Tomorrow and Friday should be VERY INTERESTING (but stupid!).

Congratulations are in order to CZAPOR1967!!! Excellent call on timing your recent exit from equities!! Feels a LOT BETTER being in the 200's vs. the 1,000's, right!?!

So who is setting up for Dec on Fri? It's our chance to be close to the closing bell...our IFT has to be in by 12, and the market closes around 1:30.
I plan to adjust slightly by moving 10% from C to S. Just setting up for Dec... Come on, Santa!! :D

I used the shorter time lag. It gives a little more confidence in what level I'm jumping out at. I did it in response to seasonality and the Sentiment Survey

Yikes!! Even WITH the shorter lag time, the market was able to totally turn around!

Although, it just went from a small gain to a small loss so I think you are OK, but still...

Sure would be nice if we could make our IFT up until the market closes. nsurf9, any progress?!?

You took the words right outta my mouth. LOL. 1 hr was still too much, but no real pain inflicted. Having no lag time would be the biggest improvement I can imagine, followed closely by more IFTs.

that's what charles schwab and scottrade are for. repeat after me: 5% max for the match, then screw greg long, and screw jack lew's extrodinary measures too.

tsp S ~ scha, tsp C ~ schx, tsp I ~ schf. i avoid corporate bonds (F), but for a G substitute you can go to schp TIPS equivalent and the treasury can't borrow against it without your written consent, yet.

there are a dozen other variations and all etfs trade realtime with no limits on frequency and no commissions at 0.07 to 0.50 expense ratios. 1 to 100 shares, it makes no difference. it requires no additional research of you stick to CSI proxies, trade away.

no, i don't recieve compensation for the endorsement, but i am looking to pick up some shares in bacon bowls on the private offering.

And for my 2 cents: Vanguard MSCI Europe ETF (VGK) owns the biggest 350 companies by market value.

Good ideas for Traditional and Roth IRAs!!

But I still don't get why TSP can't do it as well! In fact, just judging by the Daily IFTs on Autotracker....it looks like they could cover most of the trades in house. And keeping the partial pennies on those trades could offset any 'outside the TSP' trades.

Still looking for an update from nsurf9....guess I will go post on his account talk!

I fund is killing me! And I only had 20% in there! COB Monday I am going to 50/50 C and S.
Santa is NOT being kind so far this year!

I take it all back! What a difference a day makes!
I cancelled my scheduled IFT for today...will stay 20% in I.

Keep it comin' SANTA!! :cheesy:
