tsptalk's Market Talk

What are all of these red numbers I'm seeing today? I'm not familiar with them.

I guess it's still early.

Any idea why it all went to crap at about 11:00? None of the economic reports out today appear to cause this kind of drop.

I'm sure they blame it one some, but I didn't hear anything specific. I think it's about time that buyers took a step back and let things settle a little.

The transports filled its gap this morning. It has been lagging badly this month and if that and the 50-day EMA acts as resistance, it could be the tell for the rest of the market. The only positive I see is that tendency for post-options week to reverse the trend.

Nice day for the market leading Transports. The bear flag is making an attempt to break to the upside - which is not easy. If this bear flag is going to breakdown like they normally, we shouldn't see any more upside today so we'll see where it closes.

Sec. of State Kerry just declared WMD in Syria... could that be the problem here?
You'd think that oil would be spiking, but I think I agree with what I heard Bob Pisani say - light volume trading days can get pushed around easily, and it seems logical that stocks would dip on Kerry's speech. The drop actually came quite a bit after the speech, but someone said Russia had a headline about U.S. military strikes in Syria.
