tsptalk's Market Talk

The flip-flop streak is over at 14 days!

What are we going to talk about now?

So, nice day for the Dow and S&P but the Trannies were down and small caps were flat. Not feeling the love.

This is from sentimentrader.com from last year. I changed some of the numbers because 2012 gave the same results...

"Over the past 21 years, the S&P 500 futures have been positive the day after (Monday) April option expiration (the third Friday of the month) < 30% of the time. However, from the next Monday's close through Friday (meaning from the close of 4/23 through 4/27 in our current case), it was positive over 80% of the time averaging +0.8%. The last 9 years have all been positive during those 4-day stretches."

Translation, Monday, if down, could be a good day to do IFT into stocks for a quick trade.

Bumping this info. The S&P futures are up right now so this may be a moot point.

The Dow Transports are at the low of the day giving up their ~ 1% earlier again, and the whole rebound from the earlier bomb scare mini flash crash.

How about CSCO? Up over 12%. I only own a little, but I'm inclined to sell and buy back after a gap fill.

GLD: Makes me wonder what happened to all those prophecies of mass inflation by 2012.

HUI looking at possible double bottom.

I'm usually too early in my buys, but my holding period is long. 100-150 is next buy level.
