tsptalk's Market Talk

If I can get $46 out of this trade today, I'm going to take it. That would be a 5% gain in a day in a volatile consolidating market. Who knows what the weekend will bring? Until the consolidations breaks out, I want to buy dips and sell rallies.

In the TSP, I wish I had bought yesterday's sell-off - had I known we'd close down 200-points I probably would have. But I think we should get another opportunity in this choppy market.

I bought in at $43.31 but I think I'm going to wait until next week - I think we might go higher.

Got it! Out @ $46.02.

Looks "toppy" but has some bull flag characteristics. A bull flag would break up like in October. Obviously a "top" would break down.

The action in Europe so far today is remarkably similar to yesterday's action (up around 1%, 3 hours before our market open). That wasn't much help to us yesterday. More of the same today?

If so, I am going to sell at the open and buy again at the close... Wish I had on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and yesterday...

Asia seems to always do whatever we do, the day after. On flat days like yesterday, you wonder how Asia can decide which way to trade. They are down today, but no more than Europe was yesterday, so I don't think it's really an indicator. Looking forward to seeing how Europe reacts today. Most of their indices were down close to a % yesterday, so maybe due for a bounce that can roll into our market. Wishful thinking?
