he didn't pay proper rake to the man what runs the game. i'm a free operator. eventually they will get their taxes from my hide, when i'm done with it. got to catch me if you want me to hang.

Sometimes you just feel lucky Tom. When I saw the 3rd 2 I was thinking I had it won until i saw your 7's....oh well...it was just a POOR risk on decision...but I was having fun. I really enjoyed the action in tonight's game.

it's a small world after all. transaction clear, waypoints safe.

Sorry...just can't avoid posting my commentary here, and complaining about Burro's choice of videos...

Burro ? YOU SUCK !!! :D

Sooo...picture this : I'm a high school kid...1972 or so...moved in a "mobile home" near Orlando, with my Brother and his Wife, because I got a summer job at the recently-opened Disney World... I was the "Ghost Boarder"...worked from 5 PM till closing, so I NEVER saw my Brother and Family !!! It was a GREAT summer !

I was a burger-cooker and all-around gofer at Pinocchio Village Haus...right next to the "It's a Small World" ride...so for 3 months, all I heard, all day and night, was that maddening song !!! Oh yes...we had some neat bands on the stage next door...and it was a blast, eating in the tunnels underground, and talking to Goofy and Minnie Mouse, while they were not wearing their "heads"...but DANG !!!

That song sends me into homicidal fits, to this day !!! Thanks a LOT, Burro...

Just sayin'...

yeah, i can relate, worst ride ever! disney land, los angeles, late 70's. riding in a fake boat in a fake river on a fake railroad track just under the surface through an endless tunnel full of stupid fake puppets. but that ain't the half, it was me and my brother and "lane", a mongloid downwinder from the testing a few decades earlier back home. lane was cool, a good guy, he tried his best at everything. and in the boat behind us? mrs. johnson and the doctor my mom worked for and my mom. i made the mistake of looking back and you know what? my mom was getting felt up by the good doctor and they was making out! mrs. johnson was sitting in front and didn't seem to mind.

we had to go on that damn thing three times! i got your small world right here. never could forget that song. we all got scars.

you are invited to join a private tsp poker club 'home game'.

legal and disclaimer: this is not sanctioned or operated by tsptalk. it involves no real money. it is for points and bragging rights, not cash. there are no transactions or deposits. it is a group of friends and forum members who may meet to play cards online and match wits or luck.

all that is needed is to download pokerstars.net software (250mb), create an account (username, email, password) and that is it. then you click the 'home games' icon on the right hand side of the menu and enter the club id and invite code. pm me here with an email address for club id and invite code and link to download.

the tentative plan is to offer weekly or monthly tournaments as a 'season' and track who wins most. also i think side games for single table tournaments or ring games might be available if there is demand.

also i should warn you, i am going to take all your chips.

---------------------------------------
(Prize info for future reference)

so i am reminded of the original invite to this game, seems prescient...

there are some who don't play anymore, maybe they got the algorhythms perfected by now? i am a child of the matrix, and i will take any macheen down. bring it.

Time to do some tree top trimming from the Tall timber next week, the first two games are throw away games now it is time to play!!!! "This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes"

let me tell you a secret...

there are only two tricks to poker.

1) you got to move, you cannot sit around or the clock will eat you, balls out. when it is time you do not freeze, you MOVE!

2) you got to have faith. there is always something on the other end of the line. you can never lose hope, hope finds you. operator! need an out! this is why the ace on the river thing happens.

there is actually a third secret to poker, but you won't find it in any movie.

sometimes folks ask "how do you always get the good cards at the end when it needs to happen?"

the correct answer is "take the cards you get and make the end happen".

dance with the one who brung ya. simple game full of complexity.

Sorry you had to go through hearing that song so much. But I LOVE IT!!!!! Every time I go to Disney World I have to ride "It's a Small World After All"! I love the music and the colorful outfits on the moving mannequins and the song is just sooooo cheerful! Makes me light up and I remember being there as a child and the wonder of it all... !! I also loved the haunted house (piano ghosts were great!) and Peter Pan's Flight! Ahh... gotta go back.. been about 8 years since I visited there. Lol.... LOVE IT!

DBA,

UGH !!! I guess there's ALWAYS an alternate opinion ! Seems Burro has unpleasant memories, too...

OTOH, the Haunted Mansion was always one of my favorites, too....along with...I admit...the Country Bear Jamboree !! I was a budding redneck, I guess... :D

Here's a blast from the past ! I think those were ALL "E Tickets" !!! As an employee, we received small ticket books with our paycheck, so I never ran short of "E" tickets ! Also, late in the summer, we got a retroactive pay raise...I think my salary went from $3 something per hour to $5 something per hour ! Pretty neat for a high school Kid !!!

One last story : The burger grill was a long, belt-driven contraption, kinda like what you see in Burger King or Pizza Hut....you put raw burgers in one end ; cooked burgers came out the other end. Well, one night, the pretty little counter girl (that I had the hots for !) came back and said she had a customer who wanted his burger "well-done". I explained to her : "Ummmm...we don't cook them that way ! The only thing I MIGHT be able to do is run a burger through twice !!!" Never been done before, to my knowledge... She reported that to the customer, and came back to tell me THAT was what he wanted... So, I dutifully plucked a burger out of the "done" bin, and ran it back through ! We all gathered around, when the now-charcoal-brick "burger" thunked out the other end ! Put it on a bun, and served it...no complaints, so I guess we made the customer happy !!! :D Never DID score with that counter girl, though...

OK, OK enough hijacking the Poker Thread....

"Now back to the regularly scheduled program, already in progress..." :D
