Nice antidote.....but NOPEEarwig - "Back 'n the day" term for a bug burrowing in a powdered wig; wig goes on the English grape, bug goes from wig into the ear attached to the English grape. BINGO - THE EARWIG!
...just the sentence alone explains a lot for parts of the nation up near the Potomac....The name may be related to the old wives' tale that earwigs burrowed into the brains of humans through the ear and laid their eggs there.
