What is irritating me about my trades the last few days : My USAA brokerage account is still bunged up...they show the purchase in my "Positions" page, but don't list the transaction in the "Activity" page, so I really don't know what price I got in...yes, I can do the math myself, and figure it out...and yes, they've posted a notice that they are having problems...but it's still annoying !

The TZA Short ETF is better than nothing, but our options in this
regard are very limited when you compare the fact there are over 5000 US Stocks out there and many of them have beautiful short setups. One of these days I'll get to explore this side of trading, but it won't be with USAA, that's like bringing a stick to a baseball game

I sold enough to almost recoup my initial investment, and I'll ride on with the rest, through their planned merger...
Nothing to report on my "Buy and Hold" stocks...Still in the red on NCT and TNH...man, it's gonna take me YEARS to dig out of that TNH hole I'm in :nuts: Keep those dividends coming !!!
I recently received a comment that I should change my "Stoplight" avatar to reflect my current feelings on the market...you know..."Green", as it is now, means buy...."Red"...sell..."Yellow"...Not sure....
TOO FUNNY I should hear that, because, "back in the day", that's EXACTLY what I would do !!! Maybe I'll make a temporary change back to my original "red" version, so others can see it...I always loved the "bug-eye"...and I used it a LOT in 2008...it was my "OMG ! Am I really losing that much money in my TSP ?" signal :nuts:

I think it was nnut who sent me the "new" avatar...of course, now I've been mostly "green" since the "Old Days", anyway...Thank God !

I'll make you a deal...you pack up some pit beef sandwiches from the Susquehanna Inn, and I'll pick up some pulled pork from Grover T's, and we'll meet somewhere in between, and swap !

But their pit beef on Sundays was killer ! We'd settle for Wargo's, too...miss their pit beef platter, with "gravy on the fries"

I'm surprised...is the Susquehanna Inn still in business ? It was a dive kinda place, way back when ! All you bikers hung out there !
Hmmmmm....might seriously work something out here ! Memorial Day in VA is out for us...BUT...we have a dear Friend from my high school days who LIVES in Maggie Valley !!! Go figure ! We've been threatening him with a visit...it's been a couple of years since we were up there ! Let me know when in August...
I'd have to re-think the pulled pork butt, too...Although a butt from Grover T's is an option, my FAVORITE place, "Big Daddy's", recently closed due to an ugly divorce situation...this guy literally sold out of a dinky trailer, with his huge smoker out back ! Went "upscale" and opened a tiny strip mall place on the back roads, but his pork and sauce was awesome !
Also, around here, you can often pick up a 8-9 lb butt for $25, done by some local community group, as a fundraiser...also awesome !!! The locals here in "Lower Alabama" made me give up smoking my own butts and ribs ! Why bother staying up all night, when they produce better than I EVER have ! :nuts: Now I focus on sauces...Eastern Carolina, Western Carolina, 'Bama "White" Sauce, mustard-based, vinegar-based, spicy, sweet, etc etc MAN ! My mouth is watering !!! Maryland BBQ sauces were ALWAYS too sweet for my tastes...never understood the annual winners of the local BBQ restaurant competitions...
Maybe we should take this conversation off-line...don't want to make everyone else drool !
