Steadygain's Account Talk

Time to remind the Kittens and Puppies about Key Facts.

When the Markets turned in 3/09

-- very few thought it would last.

-- watching on a daily basis made it feel like the Markets crawled.

-- Fact is -- they SOARED -- Gaining over 60%

Markets then took a LONG and very Needed Correction

The Correction is the most Fundamental Aspect to focus on.

It is ONLY after the Correction has ended and Markets are sustained that 'Traction will take Place'.

Getting IN and STAYING IN at this point will 'Beat the Traction' and once that occurs the Markets will SOAR like a Rocket -- going much faster up than it did in 2009.

If you lost the first 60% -- don't sweat it. The BEST is yet to come.

And that Ladies (Venusians) and Gentleman (Marsians)

is why I went from 20% to 50% -- even as the Markets were rising.

Hey --- don't put all your eggs in one basket -- but S Fund deserves the greater bulk.

It's a learning game folks ---- best bet if you have a weak stomach, have a tendency to be timid, and when you deeply look within yourself and ..... you feel kind of wishey washey .....

...then start hanging out with Birch as much as possible... cause you ain't gonna turn him into a wimp...

And that's how we end the Week -- raking in the bucks.

Still trying to figure me out ???

Let me help.

The first half of me is the BULL -- That's where my head is at and subsequently where my thinking and plans are solidly in place. Yes you do notice the incredible shoulders and upper body. :D

The other half is mainly just to get rid of the waste and it's cool cause as long as the BULL has the first half I'm good.

So I will enjoy the show as it continues. I may wait for a short lived DROP -- and quickly add more to High Risk -- because any DROP will be short lived.

It takes money to make money my friends -- the more you have the more you make. That is the drawback to staying in G. ;):)

PLUMBING - MADE EASY

The outside pipes are way more suspectible to damage. Copper pipes in the garage sprung leaks -- soldering wore off -- so an elbow piece got a hole and where 2 pipes joined -- were now seperated.

PVC pipes at the garden -- for watering the garden had several broken areas.

gotta run ... but will tell ya how easy it is to fix

Also leaking fosset

Also leaking fosset

1.
Copper Pipes -- A 2oz tube of Epoxy Putty ($4. 00)

Push the pipes back in -- and put half the putty around the pipes to keep them together and the other half put around the elbow piece.

The putty is like play do -- you have to squish it and pull it and run it through your hands for a few minutes until it's a uniform color. Then roll it like a snake and put it around the pipe and flatten it out.

Dries in 20 minutes --- works perfect.

2. PVC Pipes and Pieces -- get the same pieces at the store and replace everything. Make sure it's PVC (not C-PVC) if that's what you're replacing.

Mine was more complicated because I have a valve at the bottom to drain the pipe from the fosset at the top. Still no piece (4 or 5) is more than $0.65 cents.

Make sure you get Primer and Cement ($7.00)

3. Leaky Fosset

Simply replace the washer -- which I had plenty on hand

Hey Steady have you ever tried soldering those copper pipes, not that hard Ya know!!
http://www.easy2diy.com/cm/easy/diy_ht_3d_index.asp?page_id=35749917

No -- I never did try that.

1. The pipes - where the elbow is and where they came apart are right next to the outside wall. It's a hard place to get to and I doubt I'd have been able to get around the pipe.

2. No previous weilding experience -- so don't know how much flux or solder to use -- and it's sounds way beyond me.

Where the pipes came apart was behind a big sheet of peg board where I had a lot of tools, shovels, clippers, and stuff hanging. So had to take all that down to get to the pipe.

Wife thinks the way it looks now is better than what she had.

Anyway -- only reason why I made the post is because a Plumber would charge at least $100 just to come to the house -- and probably at least another $100 to stop the leaks, replace the pipes, and put in a new washer.

BTW -- Really glad I did not BUY the Markets today --- Buy Low --- Sell High

Markets continue to crawl -- and the old days of wild endless flying to the sky and beyond ... seem to be a thing of the past. :notrust::worried:

Why I remember the days when 'uncontrolled exuberacnce' dominated the minds and lifes of many. :D Those were the days when the Markets 'really soared' and everyone was convinced it was just the beginning.

So I'll just wait in my sweet wonderful cushion as the hardships fall on others and many scrape by to survive. In a way it's kind of cool cause I planned for this throughout the years (in both the good times and the bad times) ~~ scrimping by and saving what I could.

Amazingly enough my TSP is about 10% higher than when the year started ~ which is really flipped out ~ cause I'm still NEGATIVE on the AT. But all is good.

Well GL to all

Well -- I think TODAY is the DAY !!

The TOP 10 on the AT and I should now have a lot in common :D

All of us are in the Positive :);)

Guess I should warn the next 50 over me -- I'm putting a lot more IN -- so just expect it to happen. You had your DAY -- now it's my turn.

Almost forgot ---- Goodnight all -- heading home

Yep that's doable but tricky not for amateurs, you can burn down the house if you don't know what you're doing. The epoxy Putty works, good job!!:D:D

Can the MARKETS continue making higher gains ??

Considering the underlying Economic Strength and true signs of real recovery -- This is highly unlikely

You see when MARKETS really go up - like 3/09 - 12/09 they defy what would be considered 'reasonable or inteligent'

Lots of companies getting stronger -- and the forecasts of many (which are already seeing substantial highs) are projected to do a lot better. (MARKETS may respond as though all this is a hoax).

Having crossed the 11,000 Mark -- could spell disaster !!
Yet there is always the fluke chance this may spark 'Upbeat Sentiment' -- and start bringing in some real volume.

So it's a toss of the coin -- going in is RISKY -- and with that is constant fear and anxiety tearing you apart.

Today's message mainly for the 50 on the AT above me.

Steadyman, You are #336 on the AT and close to the bottom. There are many more than 50 ahead of you. R u

NOW - is the time to Grab your Gains and Flee to Safety

I made my IFT Today !! :worried::sick:

Nope sorry if you used your last IFT to run away.

This GS thing isnt even a blip on the radar screen.

Not a financial event - more like a (corrupt) political one

Steadyman, You are #336 on the AT and close to the bottom. There are many more than 50 ahead of you. R u

Not at all

Actually there is a fine line between super genius and 'crazy' and where I stand is yet to be determined.

It's only because I'm at the bottom and was 'for the first time' in positive territory -- I felt I could actually sound my trumpet.

Anyway -- totally having fun and am not into the competition

Have added a little over 10% to where 2010 started and that's all that really matters to me.

Thanks for the visit :)

Oh never mind your statment was contrarian, you got more invested - ?

I would overlook this end-of-week-news-cycle deal with GS/SEC, is nothing
but a poltical play to get the masses all worked up over the bad "rich men"
that Zero is gonna save us from. yea right.

Only meant to fool distract the "faithful", not those with a modicum of intellgenence
to see right thru it.

My statement was just a 'corny attempt' to let the 50 over me to help me out  I figured the more that fled the faster I'd beat them.

I went from 50% to 90% -- cause I don't feel right investing more than 90% since Birch doesn't have more than 90%.

I mean I know he's kind of a Pansy and all -- but for now he's still the KING in my eyes.

NONE of that stuff means anything to me. The TRUTH is GS is huge and the Goverment doesn't remotely have the power to mess with them. My gosh -- probably anyone that's majorly connected to the real Political Economic World (especially USA) is closely tied to them.

If JPMorganChase has 3 Trillion in assets -- GS has a lot more.

Only meant to fool distract the "faithful", not those with a modicum of intellgenence

You're right about that -- but I think the tendency in general is getting wrapped up in some 'news clip' -- as though it's a big deal.

Only thing that remotely matters to me -- is that the correction of 12/09 ran its course and waiting for what I would consider a verified recovery from that.

So far -- we have NOT seen (in my opinion) the ranting raging BULL Market that is flying up in the sky -- over and over -- week after week and month after month.

I think BIRCH is Right -- The Markets are going to kick major ass and we could easily go beyond 17,000 before it's over.

I do, however, see this as THE LAST Big Major BULL -- Market for years to come. Too much buaaalll rahm continues and the underlying machinery and exact same rahm eating wheels are still setting all of us up for another huge disater.

Screw them -- I really don't care anymore cause I'll make a huge fortune of this one -- then roll it to an IRA or keep it in G.

But for NOW -- I'd say we see things pretty much the same. ;)

I type too fast, I misspeel words. oops.

No excuse for that crap in my home

...or in the Groove and Trip Pad :worried:

Now me - I make a point of making sure all my words are exactly the way they're supposed to be -- regardless.

But the Moderators keep messing with my head  (and all the readers minds) by changing my words to some ridiculous stuff.

For instance I'd mentioned something about Skunks -- and their smell -- and #)*())(@W*(@@_ they changed it to 'Shunks'

Boy did that make me mad -- as that is a very inappropriate term -- but then Life is too short -- so I simply let it slide down the river.
