The Nine Nazgûl

Steady,

Concur with the comment. Being still in the stock funds it has been a wild ride watching the 'The Nine I Fund Nazgûls' gallop right by me:p

Gallup Up, Gallup Down.

Funny and good.

All boats rising.

Like CoolHand and you I don't get competetive with the 'Members Ranking' chart. I use it to scan you Bildiburger types for your allocations and IFT trades. It helps me hold or move assets.

an A10 Thunderbolt came screaming down the Valley. That was as impressive as the mountains and completed my day out hunting.:D

The A-10 is literally built around its 30-mm GE GAU-8 Avenger seven barrel cannon, the most powerful gun ever fitted to an aircraft

The Air Craft we've designed is absolutely amazing. I'm probably most impressed with the Stelth design or something a bit more disc shaped.

Now it's re-designing the 30-mm GE GAU-8 Avenger to fire food, medical supplies, solar panels, fresh water, GPS devices, and tons of other useful things.

Somehow I think it's impossible to be alone in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The cliff has a life of it's own and in it's unique way it called you and invited you to enjoy all it had to offer. By giving in the mountains themselves took over and led you to a place that is only possible in a sleepful state.

I believe most animals are able to achieve this day in and day out but we (humans) are too preoccupied to appreciate all that's around us.

Those A-10 are impressive. The sound of the cannon is even more impressive. There is a big firing range at Ft Leonard Wood and the fighter pilots practice down there pretty much on a daily basis.
I wouldn't want those A-10's shooting at me.

Thanks for the 'drive by'

Competetion can ruin even the best of things - unless it's strictly against yourself. I'll have to 'feel things out' next week before I jump off the Liddypad.

Silverbird's words of wisdom are deeply grounded - 'Trying to catch a bounce will bounce you on your head' :cheesy: and I've learned that too many times before.

That you are IN - is wonderful - I'm thrilled for you and anyone that has risen with the current up draft. That's the way to make money and it's an incredible feeling when it keeps rising.

Somehow - I need to learn to let it ride and not watch too closely BUT there is always that part of me saying 'Hold off and wait for the drop':nuts:

Steady,

You have a justified 'gain' in your name. The 'Steady' is important as well.

I like the moves you make and you are one of the ones I watch. I also like your commentary. I lurk more than write on your thread. :o

As a retired Armor soldier I did appreciate their air support. Pretty darn accurate.

Was attached to 1st Armor Division 'Old Ironsides'
Charlie 1/35

Thanks so much for your faithful service !! Few can appreciate all you did and what it was like more than the guy who had to put the track back on the tank. .... maintainence

Wow Retired - that's great for you and the entire family. Hopefully you're finding the VA providing the best of care.

You probably don't want to say too much - but then again I'm probably a little more paranoid than most :o

I wouldn't mind them firing at me if we could change the 'bang' to a 'whisper' - and change the bullet to the newest I Phone with one year of free service along with a dozen roses (yellow) and a crisp $20 dollar bill that fired over my head and parachuted softly down to me. As long as the bullets became whatever I wanted I think it'd be great. I'd probably have 10 chilled bite size snicker bars fired in rapid succession..

Thanks man - gotta run .. not 1 but 2 waiting on me :embarrest:

Went to the VA for my part II retirement physical 6 years ago. Have not been back since. I'm sure they do a wonderful job.
Great for my wife. I only work 40 hours a week.
Great for me. I get to spend my entire week helping my brothers and sisters faithfully serving to be STRONG.

I forgot about the 24/7 that went with the job. It's amazing how time and a wide variety of circumstances can mellow you out. It's equally amazing how an event like 9/11 had me immediately back in the 24/7 mode of action. I've found some switches simply don't turn off and deep down I'm honestly glad for that.

Great for me. I get to spend my entire week helping my brothers and sisters faithfully serving to be STRONG.

That's wonderful - there is nothing that beats 'serving' our brothers and sisters !! Amen to that.

BULL - BEAR - or WAVES

A BULL is sustained Growth ongoing for the Longer Term. There may be some mild adjustments along the way but overall being fully invested is by far the best option.

A BEAR is just the opposite and overall being fully in safety is the best option.

WAVES - Which now predominate the Picture are what we need to get the most solid handle on. I had mentioned the 2nd Wave being strong and bringing us to higher levels than the previous wave and that in fact the VIX and all the other things were completely insiginificant.

But after 9.5% I responded very foolishly and fled to SAFETY. Had I held on the end I would have made twice what I did. But now I think the 2nd WAVE is ending and hopefully a very 'good correction' will bring us to the 3rd WAVE.

If I am right - and considering the huge strength of the 1st Wave and all the more the 2nd Wave -

THE 3RD WAVE SHOULD TAKE US HIGHER THAN EVER - SO IF YOU JUMP IN AS IT IS FORMING THEN PLAN TO HOLD ON AT LEAST 3 OR 4 WEEKS.

Hey Steady!

I agree with the Bull definition and here is why;

Your Personal Investment Performance (PIP) for the 12 months ending 07/31/2009 is 34.88%. (Your PIP is posted by the 3rd business day of each month.)

every time i log on to see that thing it changes all my decisions, no matter what i had decided to do :)

anyway there is my 4 cents. (not that it means anything) :) :) :)

Keep it Steady!

Snort!

Then you also have to agree with the Bear definition because there is no way possible you could have 34.88% if 2008 took you down 40 to 50%.

If anything proves the importance of making adjustments the PIP is the ultimate proof.

every time i log on to see that thing it changes all my decisions, no matter what i had decided to do :)

For some the PIP is a wonderful blessing - for others it's a curse we're anxious to shake off as either a NEGATIVE persists or we are barely (and only barely) in the POSITIVE.

anyway there is my 4 cents. (not that it means anything) :) :) :)

Thanks for the 'Inspirational Message' - indeed that is something we can all learn from. Imagine having a PIP of 34.88%

Looking for that mug with the C fund.

Welcome !!! and what a delightful ativar

I'll try to capture that image later on and just lose myself in it's beauty and charm. Nothing in the Markets compares to that.

well i had been sitting in the g fund for some time, being out of the mix with real life issues controlling my days :( but once i got it under control I figured hey its time do do some business it was on :)

For I'm The Walking Pride
Of Uncle Sam

On Army Posters That I Read
It Says "Be All That You Can"
So They're Tearing Me Down
To Build Me Over Again

I'm Just A Dog Face Soldier
With A Rifle On My Shoulder
And I Eat Raw Meat
For Breakfast E'V'RY Day

So Feed Me Ammunition
Keep Me In Third Division
Your Dog Face Soldier's A-Okay

THANK YOU !!!

Later on you can put it all behind you and super chill like me ;) but for now give it all you got; live it and breath it every moment.

sdmcbrid,
Don't be a stranger !

PLEASE make some posts so you can have your own thread (your own home) and we can all get ta know ya.

It's good to finally have you join us.

Fortunately I got lucky and decided to move all my funds from G, which it had about $4500 accumulating very slowly over the years to the I fund on March 9th 2009. My PIP for the last 12 months is 48.33%, nearly doubling my money since March. As if that will happen again.

WOW !!! That is really GREAT !

You caught the WAVE at the best possible time and rode it out. :D

I'd suggest you 'Lock those gains' during the present pause as you have done OUTSTANDING. When the next WAVE occurs I'd jump back in and we'll add enornomously to the Kitty.

It's a real pleasure having you on the MB and all the more in my home. This being your first time I'll let it slide that you don't have an ativar (picture) to go with your name.

So PLEASE go out and find some image that fits you - like Jimi Hendrix does me - so in the future we can get a feel for who you are and what you're all about.

48.33% for the past 12 months is absolutely amazing.

By the way I know the $4,500 was simply 'hypothetical' ;) and a very smart move I might add - as no one needs to know anything about your 'real amount'

60% G/20% S/20% I - COB today

No time to chat :( or even look around

But will come back as soon as I'm caught up :)

Anyway - to stay out of a rising Market altogether is just crazy. Here I am not trying to time the Markets.... because waiting for a substantial correction could lose me a lot of extra money... so at some point you simply have to go in and expect the momentum to continue

bringing your gains - beyond G Fund.

At the same time - I'm happy with the 13% and I can't help but think a correction is soon to come (even if strictly for consolidation purposes)

Later all

The Ativar doesn't do her justice

350z - for some reason I thought of you - hope all is well

Hey all - I'm back and this is me at my best

Physics and Chemistry - ENERGY - that's what music is and being on stage transforming the vibations of the strings through the magnetic impulses that flood the air - letting it fill me and flow through me and join with it until we are ONE is like life at its best.

Markets don't really make any difference to me on a day to day basis. As the Uptrend holds - so will it continue

Oh - and on the lines of Physics and Chemistry - my previous post is not meant in any manner whatsoever to be 'sexist' 'degrading' or in any manner to reflect anything but the 'Highest Quality'

That Ativar was only meant as a 'tribute' - but has too much potiential to be misinterpreted and I'm way more comfortable being myself. So anyway - Jimi is back to stay.
