Steadygain's Account Talk

As a Professional G Funder it's really weird - because no matter how the Markets do from day to day - it's no big deal. So I'm enjoying the ability to sit back and stay in place. I think deep down we long for Lower Lows but it's easier to be patient when you've got nothing to lose.

I appreciate this MB in so many ways and am deeply grateful for the sensitivity and the loving manner by which my short commings are addressed.

Today is PERFECT in so many ways!! It's a lighter day for me (my first in quite awhile) so I should have ALL NOTES caught up and the desk spotless about 4 pm - closing time.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE !!

I'll stop by when I'm ready to go - but have a lot to catch up on.

I don't want to overtake CB's Home but he mentioned the PC Police

Political Correctedness could only be defined as CORRECT

If we say we are Earthlings

To go beyond that is incorrect - whether it's race, gender, nationality, and every other way we can set ourselves apart from one another.

So I'd have to go with Birch on this one - we need to wipe away all things that bring distinction between one another no matter how that difference is defined - and be One Earth - One People in perfect harmony. Then there would be no need for the PC Police

Yes I'm spacing out - losing it - and there appears to be no end in sight - so need try to catch up.

Good night everyone - and Birch - thanks for the Guru Wisdom

Hey Steady,

You're always welcome in my home, though technically we're in your home now, ;) and I like earthling, much better than all the hyphenated terminology, that's PC. :D

Enjoy your weekend,
CB

Thanks CB - you too my friend

AND - I got a great laugh out of reading this - which was written to amuze myself and I'd forgotten it.

Anyone vaguely familiar with Birchtree knows this is the furtherest thing that would ever pop up in his thoughts. If anyone BELIEVES in DISTINCTION it is Birch - and he'd say this is what sets us apart - gives us Honor, Integrity, Character - and shows how the motivated and highly inclined stand above the rest.

There's probably no one known for his ability to stand apart from the rest more than him.

So felt obligated to set the record straight.

Well you're all wondering what happened as I walked over to HR.

OK - I'm very well known throughout the Center and as I'm walking down the hallway I passed one of my former patients and we will always have good repore. So he says: 'Hey Doc, wow that's a nice looking shirt (I'm wearing a green one - first time this year) Yeal I like that'.

Well I'm already in a great mood cause I'm taking care of my little brother and I know he's doing great.

So I tell him: 'Wow thanks man - I appreciate it'

Just 5 or 6 feet down from this guy is a lady standing in the hallway leaning against the wall fooling with her cell phone.

I'd never seen her before and I could confidently say she didn't know me.

But since I just had that little exchange with the guy - I looked at her and said, 'What about you? What do you think of the shirt'?

She looks up and says 'I love it' and really says it with feeling.

Made me chuckle - cause I thought wow how cool to be that open in real life.

OK - Another 15 minutes and I am out of here.

Have a great weekend everyone and to all of you who have that capability of sprinkling 'happy magical dust' out of my computer

THANK YOU - IT'S REALLY COOL !!

I was going to say something but I let it pass. I've never been a fan of multiculturalism which is really an updated version of radical egalitarianism which seeks to eliminate all standards and aspirations in order to reduce everyone and everything to the same level. There is a liberal moderator on this board that will be dealing with those issues soon enough as his kids get older. We'll see if love triumphs over idealogy.

That's my Birch ;)

Later dude - I really need to close down

see ya next week.

Hey....it has really worked elsewhere! Just take a look at China, North Korea, Cuba...they're happy as hell...just ask them while they are on camera. They will tell you so....smiling thru their tears....all the way!

None of those countries believe in multiculturism, it's their way or you get arrested, so it could be argued that is actually is a vote for multiculturalism to use them as an example. No way you can bring in "foreign" ideas into NKorea or Cuba (well, unless Raoul has more power than I think and actually wants to change things). China has a love/hate relationship with Western cultures, and frankly looks down at other Asian, South American, or African cultures.

I personally think "multiculturalism" is a buzzword that has no useful meaning. We can learn from history, and culture, but you can't know about, much the less embrace every single culture in the world. Anyone who tells you you can is cherry picking certain examples from their own knowledge and experience. And multiculturism and radical egalitarianism are not the same either. Radical egalitarianism is the elimination of ANY past culture because the past is seen as corrupt!

Bingo! Just ask my friend who grew up in the PRC during the Cultural Revolution. American citizen now and highly productive with 2 darling little girls, says he'll never go back again other than to visit once or twice in his lifetime-maybe. The horror stories he told me of his gradeschool years in the Red Guard. And similar horror stories I heard from 2 other people within that age bracket during that era.

From an ideological standpoint, multiculturalism is but a thinly veiled attack on the central principles and ideas of Western civilization. These issues and principles have given us the greatest prosperity, the highest standard of living and, more important, the greatest individual freedom ever known to man. At least that is what I believe. We are all different and we all make a positive contribution. Think about all the immigrants coming to this country. Immigrants' homeownership reached 52.9% in 2008, a slight decline from its peak of 53.3% in 2006. That rate was 46.5% in 1995. These people are not looking at home foreclosures and why is that - everyone in the family works even the kids.

Mick504,
Welcome to my home - and I do appreciate the idea you're conveying BUT WITHOUT A DEEPER KNOWLEDGE of the countries you're talking about WHAT YOU'RE EXPRESSING is merely a reflection of your good ole American - Superior - Know it ALL Attitude.

Let's look at the United States of America instead. To put things in the simpliest terms I'll say 'The White Man' comes to the most fruitful and beautiful country on Earth (that is my bias and I can't help it). He tells the Red Man this home is too beautiful for you and we are going to make it our home. He (and his Government and Armies) tell the Red Man over and over that they understand the sacred nature by which the Red Man holds to and cherishes the Black Hils of SD (as one of millions of examples) and PROMISES to let them keep their Sacred Places and NEVER CROSS THIS LINE - yet every HOPE THEY OFFER is squashed and every PROMISE is broken. They do everything possible to distroy everything sacred to their culture and way of life. Then they bring 'The Black Man' and the Supreme Court upholds the decision that 'The Black Man' IS NOTHING MORE THAN PROPERTY.
I hope you're getting the jest of what I'm saying - it is not a 'Rule of the Law' - it is in realily a MOB RULE - and the Mob Rule mentality determines how 'Our Country' is run. So if SLAVERY is the groundwork that keeps the Southern Economy thriving then 'The Black Man' is reduced to nothing more than property.

Let's move on to 'The Yellow Man' who comes here in hopes of a new and promising future. They are also essentially turned into slaves and laws are enacted against them.

What about 'The Japanese' - as I'm running out of colors. The Supreme Court upheld the decision to get ALL Japanese 'tainted' blood - even those that were born and raised in the good ole USA and 'treat them as animals - taking them from near and far and locking them up in cages.

I could go on and on - but why bother as I believe I've said more than enough to convey my message.

But since you mentioned China - let's take a brief look at them compared to us. They have no INCOME TAXES - where we continue to live in the most outdated ways imaginable and the more we persist in our insane economic policies the more likely we will get WEAKER - NOT STRONGER.

We are $30 Trillion in DEBT minimim - the bulk of our DEBT is the Interest we owe on the Principal LOANED TO US. China is the MAIN REASON WHY WE SURVIVE AND HAVE SURVIVED - and for our DEBT they have EXCESS. Did you know IF THE 'FOREIGN COUNTRIES' would at any point decide to CASH IN - and demand 'their money' AND THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO THIS - The American Dollar would instantly vanish in value and become totally worthless.

So before you PICK ON THEM - you'd better take a much deeper look at the good ole USA. Everything you see and know and all that you believe is nothing more than a facade - that CHINA and others are allowing us to believe. For the moment we have freedoms that are far beyond every other country on Earth. But would we be free if the other countries 'demanded their money' NO!! BECAUSE IN REALITY WE ARE SLAVES TO DEBT - BUT WE HAVE NO IDEA OF OUR REAL STATUS BECAUSE THOSE WHO BORROW SIMPLY KEEP LOANING US MORE AND MORE MONEY - AND EVERYTHING LOOKS WONDERFUL.

Sorry - Mick - I'm not attacking you and I really didn't mean to go on and on. BUT IT'S A VERY TOUCHY SUBJECT TO ME - BECAUSE I REALLY STRIVE TO KNOW THE 'REAL TRUTH' AND I KNOW WE HAVE LITTLE GROUNDS TO POINT AT THE SPECK IN SOMEONE ELSE'S EYE WHEN WE HAVE A BOARD IN OUR OWN.

Did you know that a US FEDERAL PROSECUTOR can not be sued; that all they have to do is say 'You this and that' and you and everything attached to you will vanish - and you have NOTHING absolutely NOTHING that you can do to prevent it.

Believe it or not - I AM NOT ANTI AMERICAN - IN FACT I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE WANTING AMERICA TO BE THE COUNTRY IT'S MEANT TO BE - BUT HUGE CHANGES WOULD NEED TO TAKE PLACE.

None of those countries believe in multiculturism, it's their way or you get arrested, so it could be argued that is actually is a vote for multiculturalism to use them as an example. Thanks Silverbird - I'm 'talked out' and got people waiting.

ALWAYS a pleasure having you in my home and getting a taste of your insights.

WOW!! I just noticed what I said here

What I meant to say is I can't imagine anyone wanting America to be the country it's meant to be MORE THAN ME.

Gosh what an idiot - how could I have forgotten the 'more than me' part. Sorry CB !!:embarrest:

Oh well - on to something lighter ---waayy lighter

The MARKETS are having 'Sunny Skies' today; the weather is beautiful. Please wear sun screen and put on your sun glasses before getting out in S Fund. :)

Alevin,
Thanks so much for sharing this.

I went on and on this morning and just came back to reflect on what I'd said -- and only now saw your message.

There is no place like America and I've heard horror stories from numerous others. What we have is so wonderful - if only we can preserve it - make it stronger - and make it true.

From an ideological standpoint, multiculturalism is but a thinly veiled attack on the central principles and ideas of Western civilization. These issues and principles have given us the greatest prosperity, the highest standard of living and, more important, the greatest individual freedom ever known to man. That's what I believe too Birch. I just hope all the other things running in the background that are now bringing the hidden weakness that plagues our country out in the open like a growing cancer can be corrected and reversed. We are in a very desperate situation. That's why the Trillions and Trillions that have recently been spent and printed HAVE NOT CAUSED INFLATION. It's why over the past few years we have given unlimited supplies our 'our dollar' to all the foreign countries we can.

What we have known is based on the value of 'The Dollar' - which has been 'The Standard' granting us the greatest prosperity, the highest standard of living and, more important, the greatest individual freedom ever known to man. When the Dollar loses any value whatsoever - simply by the other countries 'cashing in' and demanding their money - THINGS WOULD IMMEDIATELY REVERSE - We would have the greatest despair and the least prosperity, the lowest standard of living, and free - only in the since of reconizing that all has been lost.

I know we're talking about 2 different things - but it still comes down to the same result - the same conclusion. Well enough of this, we'll just have to see what happens over time.

Medic72, in his home thread, posted an excellent plea for more posts with a positive outlook on things.

Medic72 - you're right and I'm sorrry for going on and on..

In keeping with that, and because I have found that having a positive attitude literally helps keep the pain away

Very TRUE - Lady and makes life for everyone so much more enjoyable.

As a United States citizen - I've never had any bombs go off near my home and I've had a number of homes over the years in various states. I (and my family) have known nothing but the greatest freedom and we have always had an abundance that went beyond the bare necessities.

Regardless of whatever wars have occured duing my life, no matter what recessions we endured, no matter how the interest rates varried from one time to another - THE ECONOMY HAS ALWAYS SURVIVED AND THE UNITED STATES HAS REMAINED SECURE.

The DEBT is nothing new - we've had it for ages and the fear of Social Security disappearing has been a message repeated over and over throughout the years. But it has remained and will continue to remain for many years to come.

OUR WONDERFUL MARKETS (crowds stand and salute) HAVE BEEN THE BACKBONE AND STRENGTH OF OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH AND STABILITY OVER THE YEARS (eyes are dabbed and hearts swell) AND THEY ARE JUST AS STRONG - IF NOT STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE.

THIS RECESSION HAS FORCED THE COMPANIES AND INDUSTRIES THAT REPRESENT THESE MARKETS TO TRIM THE FAT AND COME OUT STRONGER.

WE MAY BE IN A TRUE DOWNWARD WAVE - BUT THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD AS AN UPWARD WAVE IS GUARANTEED TO FOLLOW. THE PRICES OF THE STOCKS ARE LIKELY TO REACH THE BEST TIME 'BUYING EVENT' OF OUR LIFE AND THIS IS A HUGE OPPORTUNITY WITH LONG LASTING REWARDS.

So don't get lost in the 'day to day' and in the 'doom and gloom' that frequently bombards us - but think over the long run and know that every tough phase will past and the rain can only last so long.

This fits with the subject matter. I posted the link on Lady's thread.

20 Ways to Get Mentally Tough
1. When you face a setback, think of it as a defining moment that will lead to a future
accomplishment.
2. When you encounter adversity, remember, the best don’t just face adversity; they
embrace it, knowing it’s not a dead end but a detour to something greater and better.
3. When you face negative people, know that the key to life is to stay positive in the
face of negativity, not in the absence of it. After all, everyone will have to overcome
negativity to define themselves and create their success.
4. When you face the naysayer’s, remember the people who believed in you and spoke
positive words to you.
5. When you face critics, remember to tune them out and focus only on being the best
you can be.
6. When you wake up in the morning, take a morning walk of gratitude and prayer. It will
create a fertile mind ready for success.
7. When you fear, trust. Let your faith be greater than your doubt.
8. When you fail, find the lesson in it, and then recall a time when you have succeeded.
9. When you head into battle, visualize success.
10. When you are thinking about the past or worrying about the future, instead focus your
energy on the present moment. The now is where your power is the greatest.
11. When you want to complain, instead identify a solution.
12. When your own self-doubt crowds your mind, weed it and replace it with positive
thoughts and positive self-talk.
13. When you feel distracted, focus on your breathing, observe your surroundings, clear
your mind, and get into The Zone. The Zone is not a random event. It can be created.
14. When you feel all is impossible, know that with God all things are possible.
15. When you feel alone, think of all the people who have helped you along the way and
who love and support you now.
16. When you feel lost, pray for guidance.
17. When you are tired and drained, remember to never, never, never give up. Finish
Strong in everything you do.
18. When you feel like you can’t do it, know that you can do all things through Him who
gives you strength.
19. When you feel like your situation is beyond your control, pray and surrender. Focus on
what you can control and let go of what you can’t.
20. When you’re in a high-pressure situation and the game is on the line, and everyone is
watching you, remember to smile, have fun, and enjoy it. Life is short; you only live
once. You have nothing to lose. Seize the moment

Ron - THANK YOU !!!

I needed this more than you realize. It's weird but I feel like I've been in a hospital room - but boarded off from the patient and not able to 'really connect' or feel like I was doing anything.

Alevie's last message to Squale - gave me breathing room and I can now return to all the things waiting here.

I'LL LIKE TO TAKE SOME OF THESE AND REARRANGE THEM JUST A TAD

1. When you wake up in the morning, take a morning walk of gratitude and prayer. It will create a fertile mind ready for success.

This is how we should start each and every morning and end each and every day. Don't have the energy for a 'real walk' or 'bad weather outside' - NO PROBLEM - Then take a walk in your mind. Deeply reflect on the many ways God has brought you to where you are today - recognize that every ability you have is only because of God's love and mercy - and strive to know this truth more and more and let it fill you, consume you, and flow out from you. As your day proceeds - look at how God is using you to spread His Love, Impart His Peace, and Instill His Joy to others. Acknowledge the wonders of His Strength in our Weakness. Look for this evidence in others - such as Alevie's Message to Squalebear (which is but one of thousands of examples) and this message to me...

Then end you night in the same manner - take the same wallk and let all things be to His Glory.

Will put #2 on the next post

You're welcome Steady. I fully agree that the "walk of gratitude and prayer" should come first and last! I've also allowed financial and other issues to bog me down. This and the other points were just what I needed to clear my head and get back on track! I glad I found this to share.--Ron

I'm honestly looking forward to elaborating on the others - as they are the ESSENTIALS to LIFE

What's mainly bogged me down is the BEAR CUB - (my little brother) and MAMA BEAR (his wife). But I'm feeling better about things and the others here have been great. What's really weird about this situation is the only ones that have any clue are you all. No one in my family - or 'real life world' has the remotest idea of what Squale (and the rest of you) mean to me. A lot would surely wonder how I could give my AL and spend so much time writting, praying, and whatever - and how a guy name 'Squalebear' could in reality take on 'Little Brother' status - but things happen and often it is the unexplainable events that carry the greatest blessings and the deepest treasures.

I had 6 complicated admissions come in last night that all need full blown workups and exams, am covering for 2 psychiatrists, in addition to all my stuff SO PLEASE KNOW MY TIME HERE WILL BE EXTREMELY LIMITED. I try NOT to get bogged down - but when very few are willing to 'do the work' - they get stuck doing the bulk.

BUT - Don't get me wrong. I am very grateful for all the work I do and all I have and my life is busy and fulfilled. It nice to know you're needed and that what you do is vital to many.

God bless and take care

Steady
