A Birch Market is a fluke of nature - yet it is entirely 'Natural' and 'Unstopable'

Otherwise known as a 'Rally' - they happen in even the very worst of recessions and this one is no exception.

Well - first of all I'm honored that you read my stuff.

This is how I view it - and it's my personal belief:

Going under 1% feels like 'HELL' and the deeper you go the worse it gets.

Our AT - has 4 layers.

About a week prior I was in the 2nd Layer 'fully in Hell' because at that time even the top part of that layer was deeper down.

NOW - the entire First layer looks 'Good'
..........part of the 2nd layer looks 'Good'
..........Birch has been in the 4th layer for quite some time

Here we all need to reflect on what Nuutt and I talked about in the 6 Handle Thread. The overwhelming BULK of us CAN NOT afford to B&H and be comfortable in the 4th layer. The UNENDING GOAL should always be to Maximize Gains and Minimize Loss - ALWAYS and FOREVER

Nah, SugarandSpite likes to Google alot and her affection for me unfortunately is unrequited. But she does make a contribution. My door is always open and the porch light is always on. She is actually being nice today.

I would strongly disagree with that. Many MB members have done very well over the years. Uptread (for instance) who joined about the same time I did has done amazingly outstanding over the years.

THE PROBLEM is most of us thought we were going through 'a correction' and that was MAINLY SUPPORTED BY AND CREATED FROM THE POLITICAL POWERS - they did everything possible to put on a good face - hide the truth - and lead all to think a little fix here and there is all that is needed.

If I (and Most of the Members) knew the magnitude of what was really going on - and realized this is a BEAR MARKET of the Highest Historic Signifigance - MOST WOULD HAVE FLED TO SAFETY.

So I primarily blame 'Politics' - because they took control of and heavily manipulated the overall system

Sticking to principles I've learned over decades in the markets allows people like me who live and breath investments to be relatively relaxed about their retirement portfolios.

Birch - I'd have to go with Sugar & Spice on this one. You're not doing GREAT because of your TSP - because your TSP has done horribly throughout this BEAR MARKET.

I believe I could confidently say that 90% or greater have no where near the Assets in their portfolios and have not engaged in solid long standing investments for their retirement.

If the TSP most heavily determined their Retirement Years they would LOSE big time following your example.

It's long-term money and I continue to look at it that way.

THAT'S MY WHOLE POINT ABOUT CASHING OUT THE TSP - and doing other things to reduce the Golden Egg.

You and I know the greatest BEAR MARKET of our LIFE - has to be followed with the GREATEST BULL MARKET. Your buying more and more shares throughout the years.

I'm staying the course.

So am I - but I'm avoiding loss better (so far) and will be able to buy even more shares at the real bottom. Yet my overall portfolio is probably not as strong.

No my love - you are removing it because you're wired like a woman. Stong and unmoving - never afraid to let others know 'how it is' and when it comes to a fight or a challenge you would be the last one to push easily or be swayed from your convictions.

Very few would find the energy and determination to go against you.

But then there is that sweet wonderful soft side - the intelligent part that realizes 'hey enough is enough' - the emotional side that says why bother - the negative is not worth holding on to or getting wrapped up in - the part of you that knows 'AS A WOMAN' you win and there is no contest.

So my darling - you are 'removing it' because in doing that you show you are the 'Real Winner' and that no one on this MB or off it can defeat you.

What an absolutely PERFECT WAY to start the week.

I think it's pretty clear that my ultimate GOAL would be to have everyone who is willing to take the risk to JUMP IN ON THE RALLY EARLY ON and RISE TO POSITIVE TERRITORY. Please review my posts if there is any doubt about that - I believe it's time the stronger ones help the rest - that those with substantial grounding come forward and I asked all the ones with that grounding to please help.

Mr. Handballer is apparently UPSET with me because I despise the thousands and thousands of individuals who swore in to join the service - only to wear a uniform for several months - were deemed unfit to 'serve their country' - got busted down to the lowest rank and left the service with a 'GENERAL' under honorable conditions. This means they had no heart or ambition to be a soldier and serve their country. THESE INDIVIDUALS USE THE VA SYSTEM FOR DISABILITY INCOME AND VA INCOME AND STRETCH WHAT EVER SERVICES THEY CAN GET OUT OF THE VA - Far over those who were excellent soldiers who served with their heart and soul and got an "HONORABLE DISCHARGE"

MY LIFE is devoted to "The Veterans" - and my reputation is probably the highest in the center. I've brought many changes to increase both the level of care we provide and the manner in which we provide it. 'The REAL VETERANS' have the highest respect and admiration for me - because I'm ONE WITH THEM. The ones who are simply 'out to milk the system' who were never soldiers - that only wore a uniform but got busted down to nothing and left without an HONORABLE DISCHARGE find that I'll do whatever I can to turn their life around BUT THERE IS NO WAY I WILL DO ANYTHING TO REWARD THEM WITH DISABILITY INCOME BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING WITH THEIR LIFE.

Looking Great so far. Looks like the real deal. We'll see....

WINDHUNTER is a very good friend. He (along with me) went 100% high risk and both of us went under. When I got a just over a 7% bounce in 1 day - I locked in to G Fund. FOUND OUT THAT NIGHT IT WAS A RALLY - and encouraged him (and the whole MB) to take advantage of it. So that's what he's saying here.

Obviously I'm trilled for WINDHUNTER - and I would love to see the whole MB past me and rise way above me. I AM HAPPY WHERE I AM BUT I'D LOVE TO SEE EVERYONE UNDER ME - COME ABOVE ME.

Some will not take a chance and GO HIGH RISK - and so my message here is: 'If anyone is to be under me - let it only be those who went to safety - so the loss will be minimal

NOW LET'S GET TO MR. HANDBALLER'S MESSAGE - ABOUT ME SAYING I HATE THE VETERANS. I WOULD NEVER MAKE A COMMENT LIKE THAT; WOULD PROBABLY SAY I HATE MY FAMILY BEFORE I WOULD SAY I HATE VETERANS. All this comes down to me telling Birch that if I were president things would be a whole lot worse because the first thing I would do is eliminate the overwhelming bulk of disability.

This upset Mr. Handballer - who said he was a veteran getting disability. Usually when people tell me "I'm a veteran and not only qualify for all the care the VA can provide - but I also want all the disability I can get from them" - they IN FACT were never (IN MY OPINION VETERANS)

So this was my response:

Let me guess...

You're a military veteran...
that in all liklihood means you actually swore into the Service and wore a uniform for maybe a few months..

You got a General under honorable conditions....because it's too much hassle for them to give a dishonorable and this gives you the opportunity to make the VA give you treatment and medications for LIFE - because you're one of the 90% of unfit soldiers that take the system for every thing it's worth.

Oh and you probably got out as an E1


If this applies to you Handballer - then YES - I would immediately take your disability along with thousands and thousands of others who conviently rob a system that was meant for the worthy.
PLEASE NOTE IN MY VIEW IT WAS A SYSTEM ESTABLISHED FOR THE REAL SOLDIERS - WHO SERVED HONORABLY AND DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO SHOW A TRUE COMMITTMENT

I work for the Veterans Administration and I see this day in and day out.

Now if you're one of the VERY FEW that honestly has a disability related to faithful service and you were a real soldier then I would weed out all the low lifes - so you could really stand out for who you are. A REAL SOLDIER WOULD THANK ME FOR TAKING THAT STAND AND IN FACT WOULD DEEPLY RESPECT ME. HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT MR HANDBALLER AND ALL OTHER SOLDIERS WHO DESERVED DISABILITY STOOD OUT AND GOT THE HONOR AND RESPECT THAT WENT WITH THAT MONEY


SO HANDBALLER - From my perspective (and from daily life experience) I know the overwhelmingly majority of those getting money from the VA System - in no way shape or form merit it.

Nice try Mr. Handballer - I earned the highest rank possible during my time in service... was personally selected for some of the biggest Missions during my time of duty...received 2 outstanding awards in 2 seperate Annual General Inspections because they could not find ONE FLAW...was a combat soldier to the bone marrow and never once failed at any Mission. If you were (and are) a REAL VETERAN - I'd be willing to bet you'd never find anyone you could relate to easier than me - and never would you find anyone more ready to do everything possible on your behalf.

I'm stuck in G Fund - Mr. Hallballer - because I used my 2 IFTs and I don't have an attitude with you or anyone else because it was my decision. So Mr. Hallballer - push the 'ignore button' next to my name if I get on your nerves.

BUT DON'T EVER THINK YOU COULD EVEN REMOTELY 'TWIST MY WORDS' TO MAKE IT SOUND LIKE I HAVE A DIM VIEW OF VETERANS - AND ALL THE MORE TRY TO CONVINCE THE GENERAL MB THAT I'D LIKE TO SEE THEM LOSE. I'VE MADE IT CLEAR I WANT EVERYONE WHO HAS A CHANCE TO PASS ME BY - BECAUSE THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO HAVE EVERYONE END THE YEAR WITH GAINS.

Wow - I can hardly explain how beautiful this is to me.

Let's say that I stumbled upon someone who connected with me in a very beautiful way - and though that connection I came to see my life in an incredibly glorious way. And my response pushed that connection away - because the deeper and most meaningful friendship got lost in emotions... Well say overtime that both of us came to see a deep solid friendship was the root of everything good and our paths somehow connected once again and we let that friendship prosper.

THAT IS THE CLOSEST THING I COULD IMAGINE THAT WOULD COME CLOSE TO WHAT YOUR POST MEANS TO ME - THANK YOU

I cut down 2 trees over the weekend, pruned a lot of bushes, re-roofed the playhouse I built, changed the Mower Oil/Filter and got it ready for the Season - in addition to taking Ella on several long walks and doing some things in the house (vacuming...)

So I'm a little worn out this morning - and Monday is usually my busiest day.

SO I PROBABLY WAS A BIT TOO SENSITIVE - and I'm sorry

I would love to see the Markets end HIGH today !!

The ones I consider the strongest have all expressed their readiness to LOCK IN GAINS and that's perfect.

If the Markets are losing strength and begin to tumble then they are safe and all is well.

If the Markets continue to rise - then only the B&Hers will prosper with more gains - and they certainly deserve it for holding on.


It seems the MB has way more a unified spirit of wanting everyone to end the year well - and 'this spirit' stands out far beyond the competitive spirit. If I'm right then I really hope we all can strive to maintain that - especially if the Markets once again turn sour. If we return to the BEAR MARKET and all the more if we reach NEW LOWS then rallies like this are unavoidable and hopefully the next time everyone of us can catch it from beginning to end.

Well I got my Vacation approved for next week - so will head to Baltimore and spend some time with my parents. May even take them to the Farm in WV.

I suspect those that left the game will come to have regrets over the next eleven trading days. We could be seeing a panic buy up in the form of a parabolic move. Watch the last 30 minutes when the hedge funds finally show some spine. That panicky parabolic move in the 30 year Treasury Bond is indicative of what the Dow has coming. The market as a whole is in a healing process instead of in the calm before the next storm. Yup, we good green shoots.
