Fab, Great looking Bear Killer !
Went to the (G) Gund today after close of business.
No other place to go for the next two weeks. Learning
can be hard sometime, but as a friend so eliquently said
to me a few days ago, I've got to get my head in the game.
One of the lessons can be seen on the tracker. I'm in the 30's
and March Madness seems so long ago. Not to fear, I'll be back
with a vengence.
It's all on TSP.gov and in the new rule...our money isn't ours, it's an investment "pool" and Barclays owns it. Supposedly we own it, but ....Barclays said Friday that shareholders applied for 19% of the 267.1 million shares available under its open offer. The remaining 1,140 million open offer shares have been allocated to Qatar Investment Authority, Challenger, China Development Bank, Temasek and the other institutional shareholders and other investors with whom they had been conditionally placed. CAN ANYONE SAY; OVERPAYMENTS.
:worried:
this is what my killer weiner dog look like in my neighbers red pit bulls mouth:notrust:Can't the bear just get torn to shreds?

Hey SB,
This newbie jumped ahead of you in the tracker.
Actually, I just got lucky!!!
I jumped mostly back into G but kept my toes in the pond, just incase.
May the force be with us.
Sorry to hear that. The pic is just one I found on the internet, so please don't associate me with the killer!
Seems like today is kinda quiet and I like that. I chose to get a little more defensive and took an extra 20% back to the G fund. With oil playing such a critical role in the S&P 500's success I didn't want to be too heavy in stocks over this weekend. I started the week at 75G & 25 F, then went 50G & 50C and now I'm 70G & 30C. Boy what a beating the F took this week!
I hope everyone had a fair week, it was sure nice to see this downtrend get broken even if it's for just a little while. Just 9 more trading days till we get our IFTs back
Hey, SB. What the I fund surplus/deficit standing today?
Being in G for the next 10 days may not be a bad position.
One man's trash is another mans treasure
Just to make you guys feel better, I'm sitting at -8.81% YTD
My Buy and Hold while deployed was more like a sit & sink...
When I got back from my deployment in March, I couldn't even place #166 on the tracker :cheesy:
SB,
Just poking fun. Hope the salt didn't hurt too much.
If you go to Govexec.com and go all the way to the bottom there is a pick for TSP Monthly returns. 2008 sure looks similar to 2000 and 2001. If you look at all the August returns it is a 50/50 shot at being a good month. So how critical is the next 10 days in getting the bulls to rise above the bears. Going to be an interesting ride. Being in G for the next 10 days may not be a bad position. Have a good weekend.
May the force be with us.![]()
