SB,
WOW!! Shock and surprise. I jumped on my post thinking we where headed for a small rally only to see the numbers going red with less than a half hour to closing. I guess the force was with me a little bit today.
May the force be with us.
Glad I could help SB.
CPI rose even with food and energy prices stripped out, because of high energy prices. DUH. How can prices NOT rise with fuel being so expensive? :blink:REUTERS
Europe shares turn flat after US inflation data
Thu Aug 14, 2008 8:40am EDT
LONDON, Aug 14 (Reuters) - European shares pared gains to trade flat on Thursday after U.S. data showed consumer inflation picked up by more than expected in July, cutting the chances interest rates will remain steady through the end of this year.
The U.S. government said its core consumer price index, which strips out food and energy prices, rose 0.3 percent in July, compared with forecasts for a 0.2 percent increase, and compared with June's 0.3 percent rise.
By 1235 GMT the FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares was flat at 1,179.40 points, versus 1,189.55 points just before the data. The index earlier rose by as much as 1.1 percent.
Banks became the largest drag on the index after the consumer inflation data. Royal Bank of Scotland dropped 2.8 percent, Barclays lost 3.4 percent and Banco Santander shed 1.5 percent.
Headline consumer inflation rose 0.8 percent, compared with forecasts for a 0.4 percent increase, prompting U.S. Treasuries and stocks DJU8 SPU8 NDU8 to sell off and the dollar .DXY to rise briefly.

Wow, I'm thinking you jumped in at the right time when looking at the O/D Tracker Debt. But the Dollar and European Economy just isn't were it needs to be.
It was a 20% each in CSI. I know the I fund has been taking some serious hits latley and I wouldn't recommend anyone try to catch the bottom of this thing. My timing this month has been horrible, but it's not over yet...
Since most of you have already taken your awesome gains off the table, at least you have someone like me to keep you entertained for the rest of the month. :toung:
Good luck with your "Honey to do" list :cheesy:
Sometimes it's good to take a break, suck in some fresh air, and just plain take care of the important things that try to bogg us down.
Thanks goodness for me the markets take a break, otherwise I'd never get anything done on the weekends.
spend some time enjoying your family PaBear. Rawr.
