Squalebear's Account Talk

Great, join us, but you must "ASSUME THE POSITION" First!

Don't forget Norm, I work for the BOP !
BEND OVER PLEASE

Unless the good Lord shows me a sign, I expect any bounce will result in
me running to the (F) Fund and/or (G) again for the month of July. Damn,
I'm talking like this and its only July 1st. Better to be cautious I guess.
;)

Boy I did it now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

100% (C) FUND !

I'm crapping my pants already !

If you made that move recently - you should be in good shape.

The Markets have been "tanking" very well over the past few weeks and THAT IS EXCELLENT - it really is.

You can tell they are looking hard "for support" and despite all the bad press and glommy feelings - SUPPORT is not too far off.

Stay put my friend ! If your buy was recent then you got in at a very good time.

In the last 5 trading days, the combined average gain/loss %
for the three TSP stock funds look something like this;

+0.83%
-2.56%
-0.03%
+0.01%
-1.51% (currently)

Is this down day just the begining, or will we see a low volume bounce.
If a bounce is in the cards, will it come today at 3:40pm or after. Guess
you already know when I want it to happen.

THANKS STEADY, I'M IN (C) AT THE COB TODAY.
I'M ALSO COUNTING ON A FULL (G) PENNY TODAY,
BUT MIGHT ONLY GET THE 1/5 OF A PENNY. THATS
OK, I'M IN AT A GOOD PRICE.

My combined savings by bailing out of the stock funds on June 12, 2008
$ 7,361.72 (currently)

I know, I know, I'm tooting my own horn.
On the other side of the spectrum, I felt
just as bad, when I originally bailed out.
It's a Question of Balance. (Moody Blues Reference)

THANKS NASA ! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU MY FRIEND !

Hey SB as it turns out, you did the right thing. Good on you, I'm glad you got to reduce your lose.

I've taken some hits, but I don't feel too bad about it. I scaled back 10% into G a while back and scaled back 25% this Monday. I've positioned my IFTs for the month. I'll be pulling out soon, then stay in G/F untill this market finds some stability.

I'm down 9.42% for the year, but most of that is my fault. I was deployed from September to March and left my account mostly in stocks. I hadn't been watching the market on a daily basis untill I got back. I hadn't fully realized the trouble this market was in, so it kinda snuck up on me.

Thanks for your input, your a daily read for me. :)

That is really good my friend. You did a great job!!

My combined savings since my June 5, 2008 ITF to S Fund are the Contributions that have gone into G Fund.

My loss remains at $0.00 - since I haven't sold.

If the Markets keep going at this rate I should be ready to buy up a lot more when I get back from vacation in a few weeks.

Anyway - it's great to see figures like that - Christy Brinkley looks

Cause that's what good timing is all about :D

I was deployed from September to March

Priorities my friend. Thank you for making my family safer.

There will be opportunities to make up that -9.42%. If you have any
doubt, take a look at my March recovery from January & February in
the Automated Tracker. It truely looked ugly by the end of February
and the Thrift Board ordered me to stop my numerous IFT's. Although
I paid the price through mail restrictions in April, I went from being hit
with a -3.11% YTD to being up +2.89% YTD. Thats a 6% swing in 31
days. With the limits in place, it's alot harder. But one 3% day and bail
is always possible. Keep that chin up, be patient and by all means, put
your money in the (G) if Uncle Sam comes a call'n again.

You did a great job!

Steady, I was scared and bailed on a down day, only to miss a rebound
the next couple of days. Once I was in the (G), I had to stay. If the USM
took off upwards, I'd being screaming how unfair the limits are and how
much money they cost me. Luck Be A Lady, Roll Them Dice and thank
goodness I avoided the unforseen mess which came in June.

The debt is slowly getting paid. Today, the (I) Fund lost just over a
third of a percent more then the EFA. We still have .31 tsp cents to
get to zero. Lower gains or Great loses, the (I) Fund is like a bookie.
It don't matter how he gets his money, but get his money he will. ;)

EFA vs TSP (I) DEFICIT:
(6/23/08)- 0.166% +0.1704 tsp cents

THE KEY:
- .46 thru- .28 Holy Cow !
- .27 thru -.16 High Overpayment, (I) Fund (Giveback Imminent)
- .15 thru -.10 Meduim Overpayment to the I-Fund (Flip A Coin)

Well, I ran out of good reasons to jump into the stock funds. Using the
time honored method of reverse psychology, I did just that. I put 100%
into the (C) Fund while thinking the Market is going to fall even more.
If all the planets align properly, I'll be wrong about the market (yet again)
and we'll see a minnie rally off these lows. The (C) is in double digit loses
YTD and the (S) is only in single digit loses YTD. Although the (I) Fund
has a double digit lose YTD, it also has a overpayment debt ontop of it.
So its up to the S&P500 to prove I'm wrong and go up,,,,up,,,,up,,,up.
The last thing I want to be saying is; " I hate being right". We will have
No Hurricanes, No Iranean Conflicts, No Spikes in Oil and No Writedowns.
Otherwise, Reverse Psychology will never hold the same meaning for me.
With that, I'm calling it a night ! Good Luck To All !
;)

Squalebear,
As my kid brother - you are the shinning example of what it is to have a loving and wonderful spirit.

For our "roughness" you make us look good.

Thank you my friend and the best to you and your family.

I almost jumped off the lilly pad today. Just couldn't pull the trigger. Depending on what happens tomorrow today could have been a good low day to buy into. Anyway, will be watching closely what happens the next couple of days. Those that jumped yesterday and today GL. May the positives be high and the lows nonexistant.

Great Call Nasa, I lost my boxers today. I hope my reverse psychology
play turns out to be the right move, eventually! Tomarrow may prove to
be the day I go back into negative numbers YTD. Resistance was futile.
Now I must play Borg for the collective. Sorry I couldn't help with your
earlier question. Let me know the answer when it comes to you. ;)

So is Barclays making their adjustments? Let's hope today starts the bounce everyone has been talking about this week. Just wish I didn't have to make a move before noon. The market seems to really make dynamic changes right around the closing of the USO. GGGRRRRRRR!!!!!

May the force be with you.
