Squalebear's Account Talk

I bet TSP is making you feel constrained.

Yes in a way that's true BT.

Not just the IFT limitations but I want to branch out to other investments. I don't know about individual stocks but the ETF and mutual fund trading sound interesting!

Hi folks,

I was reading this thread and saw the talk about the <1% moves but I can find the source thread where this is explained in detail. Could you point me in the right direction?

Thank you,

Thank you,

The link Frixxxx shows is the original account for the <1% move. Thanks Frixxxx.

The link below is a read only and was edited from the original. It makes an easier read and contains the major posts about the <1% IFT Option. This can also be found at the top of the "Member's Account Talk" section.

David, Good luck. Any questions you can post in my account.

SB, sorry for taking up space and time in your account.

If the fund is showing a fraction of a % i.e - 4.08

you can increase that fund < 1% to 5%

No fraction (like 3%) no movey the money until you see a decimal point!

Actually, the funds only show to two decimal places and are rounded up or down. It may show 2.00% but could actually be either 1.9999% or 2.0001%. In the latter case, you could round up to 3.0000%. You have to divide the dollar amount in the fund by your total account balance. I don't know how many decimal places this actually goes out to but it is at least 4

My Jedi Master, HAPPY BIRTHDAY IT IS.

I see you done a < 1% today.

Me too.

I also manage my wifey's TSP and moved 1% in her's too.

Together, you and I will drive the TSP Board crazy, eh? :D

It sounds like a plan (LoL) Unless they spend a Gazzillions dollars to tweek
the software to allow for percentages that fall short of 1%, they can stew over
their lack of vision when they messed with the TSPTalk Membership and implimented
limits over our accounts.

Heck, TB is ready to take over the plan when I'm no longer of this earth !

Happy Birthday SB!!

YES!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Squalebear! Enjoy.
My Jedi Master, HAPPY BIRTHDAY IT IS.
Happy happy birthday, SB!
Happy birthday Squalebear.
Happy Birthday SB... and many more!
HB 2 U. Stay active and pump some iron.
Almost missed it... Happy Birthday Squalebear!
I am Humbled and Honored to be remembered in such a personal way. From the bottom of my Heart, Thank You All. :embarrest::embarrest::embarrest:

Squalebear, I, too, am late with the Happy Birthday greetings -
I would just `ditto' Handballer's card, but it might be a little less than truthful!
And you most probably don't need another cake after nnutt's fine job - so, just a simple: I am so very glad you had one! Take care, readying for the next....

Thanks Frixxx, Handballer and Grandma ! I look forward to many more, shared with you(s) ! :) :D

I made my third move for January. It was a <1%IFT which rebalanced my
percentages to 39%(G) 30%(C) 20%(S) and 11%(.I) ,,, this move will increase
my percentages by only a few tenths of a percent, however, it also will increase
my shares at risk.
