I'm also sorry to hear this. As an older Vietnam Veteran I gave up on prayer many years ago and God has no place in health care. As a health care professional I do know that excellent health care does exist and may he receive the best available. I'd be mostly concerned about another recurrence six weeks from now when the coast seems clear. Be ready for a trip to the Cath Lab and possible surgery to replace coronary arteries or placement stents to prevent further coronary thrombosis. I do wish him a full recovery and no there will be no reason to quit working - he'll have many more productive years.

Kelly, thanks for letting us know. He is a miracle right now for surviving the first, Birch is right, it's the second one that needs to be guarded against even more. Pat is my little brother that I love to pieces.

He's probably told you about me - anyway I'm Steady. First I want you to know how openly he explained his name 'Squalebear' and the immense love and admiration for you that came through - so no one could know better than you what a real sweetheart he really is.

As his big brother I have come to really enjoy his loving thoughtful manner - a sweetness that permeates everything - and a sense of humor and delight that only my little brother is known for.

I tried to give him 2 weeks of my vacation earlier this year but at that time the red tape wouldn't let it happen. Please know you can count on 2 weeks from me (because it's already his to begin with and I wanted him to have it).

Please give him a hug for me and let him know I love him and will be praying for him. There are a lot of others here that think the world of him.

We would deeply appreciate some updates - PLEASE if it's not asking too much.

I'll wait a week before going to Human Services to give the 2 weeks to make sure it goes through.
