Thinking about this in a more selfish way..I hope they don't catch any Russian flu hybrid strain of the H1N1 and bring it home here to the States.:worried:Skypilot's wife's facebk post this morning:
A little change in the travel plans. One more evening of preaching at Churches of Praise, and one more night in Kirvoy Rog, Ukraine. Then Monday morning they are off to Kiev. And back home on Tuesday. They get to stop ...
I hope the Ukrainian leadership doesn't decide to declare quarantine - but I guess that would be to keep everyone out, not in.....
I know they both appreciate any prayers on their mission trip !
on the contrary -not selfish -prayer specific -! Them & us.....Thinking about this in a more selfish way..I hope they don't catch any Russian flu hybrid strain of the H1N1 and bring it home here to the States.:worried:
I truly believe that the airlines should be making accomodations for the ill, even if just to maybe avoid lawsuits, regardless if considered frivolous. Back in the 80's they did, with MD notes, but maybe that was just the particular airline I was using at that time. ...have no idea which one, tho - may be the same one noted in this article that does it.....Flu? Too bad, you get dinged for changing your ticket. So 51% of surveyed said they'd fly anyway.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-11-23-swinefluupdate23_ST_N.htmThe momentum of the H1N1 flu outbreak has fallen off, but flu activity is still high and Tamiflu-resistant virus may have begun to spread. USA TODAY'S Steve Sternberg asks experts for their perspective.
Q: What is the latest about Tamiflu-resistant cases?
A: Four patients at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., and at least five in an unidentified hospital in Wales have become infected with H1N1, or swine flu, viruses that no longer respond to treatment with Tamiflu. Flu viruses swap genes as part of their normal evolution; that means resistant viruses could quickly spread worldwide, says Duke's Daniel Sexton.
