UPDATE:
Ken made a late decision to move to a buy... So I am reposting. Futures are slightly up, but I doubt today will be much more than a consolidation or slightly up day. Everyone is holding their breath awaiting AAPL earnings release... Lots of blue faces today, lets see what happens.

Well, yet another interesting day. The herd is buying dips, wary people are on the sidelines, traders are mostly staying in cash, and day traders are in hog-heaven...

So, are will looking for a quick sympathy bounce from here, or is there going to more noise from Europe? Day to day is what it is going to have to be for awhile. December 19th through April 2nd would have gained you 200 pts on the SPX (18%+). If the bull run is going to continue , then making lower lows and lower highs is not the way to do it...

While some have claimed that the EU and US markets have disconnected, there is too much evidence to the contrary. Although we only lost 0.8 to 1% where the EU lost from 2-3x that much today. Will we continue, or have our markets hit support?

I think the bigger question is do we follow Birchtree to Bull bliss, or be cautious and wait and see if there is a better buying opportunity as the markets complete the "correction." Some of the market indexes have completed a trend change (lower lows, lower highs), but not all of them. Can this bull run be saved, or is there further (much further) downside to come?

Who knows... Only time will tell

Fun day tomorrow with AAPL earnings making everyone think the markets are going through the roof. BT doesn't count since he always thinks they are going through the roof...

Ken has decided to not follow his system and is personally staying on the side lines. Let's see if his decision to not follow his system is good for his TSP account or not. Maybe he will let us know the % gain by his system vice personal sidetracks...

The OCD is still on a sell. At this point I am still not convinced we are going to move up or down due to AAPL. OptionsEx, then earnings seasons, throw in a little Eurozone issues and you get a interestingly up and down market with no distinct short term direction, mixed intermediate term directions, and bulls swearing we are going to plow to AAPL at 1000 and SPX at 1500.

Only time will tell

Fun day tomorrow with AAPL earnings making everyone think the markets are going through the roof. BT doesn't count since he always thinks they are going through the roof...

Ken has decided to not follow his system and is personally staying on the side lines. Let's see if his decision to not follow his system is good for his TSP account or not. Maybe he will let us know the % gain by his system vice personal sidetracks...

The OCD is still on a sell. At this point I am still not convinced we are going to move up or down due to AAPL. OptionsEx, then earnings seasons, throw in a little Eurozone issues and you get a interestingly up and down market with no distinct short term direction, mixed intermediate term directions, and bulls swearing we are going to plow to AAPL at 1000 and SPX at 1500.

Only time will tell

Me too, I got out of my longs EOD only because I didn't know for sure what AAPL was going to do, so now I will just wait to see if we will continue up or is it short time?

I'm not sure but maybe just try googleing Instituional stock buying or some such thing.. The Institutional stock distribution/accumulation graph is useful to forecast direction of Markets. Thanks for posting!

I kind of agree. I think we could see new highs, then bam, the rug comes from out from under us.

Unfortuantely it would be tough to play. I would assume I would still be in stocks at that point waiting for the failure before bailing. Selling a new high doesn't seem smart considering the trend, but it may turn out to be brilliant. Who knows?
