I'm sure you won't be the only one setting me straight - now I know who is paying attention. Any contact that you and others may have with any real world investor may offer some not readily apparent benefits sooner or later. I'm fully bulled up and ready to make some ample gains. Secondly, I don't trade but rather gear my strategy to accumulate shares and the more at golden prices the better. The same goes with my TSP account and you'd get tired of hearing about it eventually. As a buy and holder I blaze my own trail and that is the best approach for my longer term outlook. Snort.

No, actually Dennis....your strategy, specific stragety, concerning your TSP is exactly what I would enjoy hearing. I do value your knowledge and advice....I'm just not yet savy enough to understand it all, and I do not have the means in which to invest otherwise (the TSP is pretty much all I have)....therefore, I don't have the "energy" to try to learn all you know. Mainly, because too many other things garner my attention...like loving retirement and playing! I have no desire at all to be rich....I already feel rich...I just want to spend what I have on enjoying the rest of my life, and hopfully not totaly run out. Any help in the TSP funds arena from you is greatly appreciated!

Edit to add: Although I somewhat agree with you, I think it's easier for you to ignore him, then for Birchtree to change his ways. If it bothers the owner of the thread, then that's something the owner can take up publically or via PM.

A structured bankrupcy would probably be better overall but worse for alot of working people. :suspicious: That is the main concern of the Dems. The UAW always votes and supports them.

What's your take on the effects of the change in GE's credit rating and the break through the bottom of the rising wedge formation? Just a one day deal or could we head down?

poolman - hope your job leads turn out. I was thinkin of you today as I scrubbed the top edge of the pool tiles. Air temp 50, pool temp unknown, the thermometer broke and I never replaced it. My hands still ache. Can't imagine being in the cold(er) water of your clime for a living.

Since your house here seems to be a place for others to spar/talk/etc.

that may be a place to talk about life outside the TSP. No one seems to use it much. I like to see all the talking, possibly bragging, in the account talk threads. More visible.

Back to reality for a moment. Watching, listening, learning and a whole lot of BS luck allowed me to see 8% gain during the T-day week bounce. I hope for a Santa Clause bounce but am in at a much less dangerous level. Will be back to G for the new year. Not that I really know what I am doing but am learning and have 9-10 years to go before retiring. If it all goes wrong I can leave it where it lies and become a desciple of Birtchtree's philosophy.

Well the Big 3 got there Bailout this morning.

What's your take on the effects of the change in GE's credit rating and the break through the bottom of the rising wedge formation? Just a one day deal or could we head down?

I placed a 30% Bet on the Market's breaking out of the Wedge and for it to run the rest of this year. Market's have pulled back into the wedge for now. So now I wait to see how much lower it wants to go before I commit my other 70%. My plan is to still get out with a gain and the market does not have to go as high as when I committed my first 30%.

I didn't think the auto deal would hold the market, but now I see Paulsen is starting to push out the second half of the 350 Billion. Hmmm...
I wonder who is going to step up to the trough for their share.
