Poolman's Account Talk

I have not been around much yesterday and today. I have not had my mind into the market's full time.
The Wife and I are in the middle painting my office. I didn't realize how much stuff I had in it until we had to move it all out. All I have in here is my desk and my computer which we have in the middle of the room. I will not be around after 12:00 for the rest of the day. Going to pick my mother up.

Right now I am down as of yesterdays close 33 S&P points from my 30% IFT to the C - Fund.

It looks to me like the markets are range bound as of now. I'm waiting for some news to make the markets break either way. I feel well positioned for the rest of the month.

I don't know if we are going to get that Santa / Feel good rally. :notrust:

If I interpret Ira's video, he's saying we're moving sideways with not much upside potential.

Where the heck is that Santa Rally? Maybe we're getting coal in our stockings this year?

If you don't want your coal, I'll take it.
Merry Christmas. (Or what ever is politically correct these days):D

We will have to wait to see if we get a Santa Rally. It could happen by year end.

I'm playing the best I can right now. 30% in and ready to go all in. I'm thinking we could test 818 S&P. If so I will wait. I know the news is terrible. Now we have Suicide. What's next? I think the news is so bad now that we could bounce.

I'm down now 42 S&P point's from where I went in 30%.

I'm comfortable.

My life is very busy currently but I'm finding time for my passion. This is it. :)

thx - Saw the Peter Schiff video you put up in your post the other day (#1140). I just recently became aware of this guy - he seems to accurately call a lot of events, but takes a lot of grief from other "experts".

I just had my wife get me a book by Schiff that covers what we should do in the coming downturn. http://www.amazon.com/gp/sitbv3/reader?ie=UTF8&p=S001&asin=0470043601

Looks like the main points are: 1) buy international and 2) precious metals.

Poolman,

Merry Christmas!

I pray for the job that's coming your way to get to you soon.

Happy New Year!

I respect and delight in the advice and insight you provide.

Following your lead, went 70/30 G/C today. Planned to go all G but held back at last minute feeling that next week, there might be some lift.

Poolman,

Just noticed your location. I grew up in NW Stafford County and worked at Belvoir about 8 yrs before moving to the FL swamps. When the wind is blowing from over Gainesville way I sometimes get a whiff of Birch's superlative pile. :toung:

I understand about them room painting projects. The *easy* part is the painting.

Merry Christmas - may you and your family be blessed in the coming year!

Thanks Thunderhorse,

Merry Christmas to you and yours !

Yep, Stafford about 20 miles from me. Thing's have changed allot in the last 8 years. When I moved in my house 12 years ago where I live was considered country. Not any more. 1 1/2 miles from my house is strip malls that run 2 miles long.

Yea, now that the painting is done it's trying to figure out where all this stuff goes. Gawd, what a nightmare. I'm working on it slow.

Hey Guy's and Girls,

I want to wish Everyone on this Board a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks to everyone I gain so much more insight in many aspects of the entire market.

I come on here everyday and look at who is on and it's always my frequent bunch of fellow TSPR'S. I appreciate all the newcomer's and hope they will stay and become interested in there retirement.

God Bless Everyone...:)
