Poolman's Account Talk

I see the Bull's running out of steam. :notrust:

Correct. Range-bound trading and late day selling pressure ~1100 continues; in spite of modest upside confidence number. Next move outside this range (1090-1110), I say will be below this.

We have a bullish "outside day" on the S&P right now, but it must close near the highs to be effective. If we sell-off late today and close near the lows, that would be a game changer.
Wow! Talk about putting a curse on the market. I wrote that near the highs.

SO, you're the one responsible for this!! Good CALL, we will see about the game changer part tomorrow.

I don't know about tomorrow, but what kind of message do you think the market will want to send to BHO on Thursday after his state of the union tomorrow night?

State of the Union and FOMC meeting. I think the next two days are going to be huge in terms of telling us the direction of the next 5% move.

Today's outside day and sideways action actually looks like other recent short-term bottoms, but it has to hold here (1089).

I'm not bullish at the moment, but if market character has changed I don't think anything recent is a good guide. Up until a few trading days ago it was the downside that was anemic and the upside that was relentless. I know it hasn't been very long, but...

Sideways?? I lost money AGAIN today!! Granted the sell-off came late in the day.

If it doesnt pick up tomorrow Im getting out. 2 new IFTs arent far away.

Birchtree 8/22/07 same thread, referring to a post above him musing that the market might go up: "You know it's going to happen - the market is a future discounting mechanism. I can't help thinking about 1995. " Presented under the equal time clause. :)

Thanks guys !!!

Much appreciated !!!

Safety still feels good

You Know Steady,

That was down right nice of you ! :)

Today, I will admit, through me for a Lou Lou.

Timothy Geitner, Hank Paulson, Apple Notepad, FOMC Announcement, throw in State Of The Union this evening.

I'm downright Dizzy

I'm looking for a little more than we got today anyway. :D
