Playing the I fund

The ECB and BOE are set to announce on Thursday and I think they're expected to leave rates unchanged. The dollar might continue to head higher.

My calculations shows the I fund 5 pts higher than what it should be. Will be interesting if the I fund will lose today even though it shows it is up 6 cents

Yup, looks like it might be setting up for -FV. The dollar kept me from getting back in today.

Nikkei down now 300 points, or 1.74%.

Seoul down 1.41%

Nikkei down over 2%. This is going to be a bludgeoning.

A strong dollar is not helping. The action so far tonight is only 1/3 of the I fund, and it's already down 15 cents. In a few hours, Europe(2/3 of I fund) opens, and if they follow the Asians, it will hurt as much as Friday or worst if the dollar gets even stronger. I would expect Europe to open low and eventually track the USM in the morning.

I would normally look at this sell-off as a buying opportunity, but I believe the dollar will get stronger on Thursday. Unless the dollar shoots up significantly tomorrow pricing in Thursday's ECB/BOE's no change in policy.

I'm not saying this isn't going to be a rough day (or rough week) for the I fund but in my calculation, the N300 is still above its 20 day SMA so at least things haven't totally fallen apart yet in Asia, anyway. The 20 day SMA is 332.3 and the value of ^N300 as I write this is 332.6.

The dollar is starting to drop as is Tokyo Crude.. I've got my soap ready to take a bath in but maybe.. just maybe we have a turn around starting. It would be nice to wake up in the morning and see it happen. If not, I guess it's time to hop in the tub... Good luck tomorrow everyone..
