Playing the I fund

About half an hour ago, both FTSE and DAX headed sharply down. The inflation uptick announce in US today may be responsible. Any other ideas?

Change that to 15 or 16 cents. Some selling has occurred this past hour.

edit: never mind... 350z beat me to it!

In fact, a distribution of monkeys throwing darts to choose their allocations would likely have produced a higher performer than these 48 investors. -Desperado ..... I guess that makes me a Lucky Monkey. :D

OMG! Great signature! LMAO

NIKKEI up over a percent and Dollar down. I would think it would be a banner day for the I-fund; but its not. What gives?

I could see us getting an adjustment of about .4%. Of course it could just be that monkey hitting me in the head again with another dart.

The DOW was down 62 points at noon and has now recovered and is up a few. Is this enough to trigger a +FV?

No, Greg used to say that it took at least ½ percent. The Pacific markets were up last night, if the Dow finishes up 1 percent we might see a 10 to 15 cent FV.

MSCI says down .718% or 15 cents.

I was way off today. I was on the phone and in a hurry this morining. I must have made another mistake somewhere.

CommTech,
You were only off by two cents Monday, that is close enough for me. I really do appreciate you taking over posting the figures. It frees up my time so I am able to take care of other items on the agenda.

I don’t know if it matters which fund, just throw a dart at them. I have had a suspicion that Barclays uses the Dow for figuring the FV.

My guess and from what I've seen, I think they use the S&P and Wilshire4500. FV is designed to protect us from ourselves(day trading the I fund), switching between C,S, and I. And I believe it's plus or minus .50% in the C & S, but as far as the dollar, I think it's +/- .30% or more. I haven't nail it down yet. Obviously, .50% will do it.
