Grumble...

Argh, still not sure what I hate more....missing big gains, or suffering big losses :notrust: Tomorrow is another day, looking forward to a better entry point.

Gotta be the losses since it takes more gains to make it up.

Birch has set his retirement date, maybe the two of you can set up a transition plan before he goes. ;)

I waved to Carl while he was standing on the train platform today - he's still looking at the caboose.

Charts are looking toppy on this last leg up, so I'll be patient while waiting for an entry point in the next couple of weeks, before the end of the month. Closing above some key resistance levels is making a case for the intermediate-term bulls. I played this last leg up too cautiously, still trying to shake that last 2008 bear out of my system.

Don't get too beared up. Bearish sentiment has risen quickly for months when the market gets tentative and weak. That's the stuff rallies are made of. Unfortunately, the cash piles into the market quickly on both sides of the trade, making TSP trading very difficult unless one is confident in front-running signals. And that ain't easy.

All in

Hard to say how much downside action, if any, we'll see from this point in the trading channel, but with today's red numbers providing at least some kind of entry point at the IFT deadline, I'm 30C/30S/40I COB today. I would prefer to be more patient and wait for a better entry point, but closing above some of the levels we're seeing may delay said entry point...we'll see.
What is this that I'm stepping in?

Re: All in

Hopefully the UP escalator!

Tho a close in the red wont bother me...IFT 20% IN today & holding.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Some of the charts are indicating this thing could bust even higher from here, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

THAT BRINGS UP A GOOD QUESTION. my TSP allocation gets posted today(first and third Tuesday of the month). Question??? So I would want the funds to be down today so that I can buy cheaper, correct ???? :)

Exactly. You're on to something. Accumulation is the wave of the future. If you don't own shares then price doesn't matter.

Yep if your contribution allocation goes to stocks and not the G fund

But looks like we mostly meandering around yesterday's top for now... maybe just building up steam for a fresh blast off tomorrow! :D
