nasa1974's Account Talk

We were able to watch a night launch of a supply rocket from Wallops Island from the beach in Ocean View, about 60 mi. south, it was very cool. I had called several friends up and down the east coast and they saw it as well. I wanted to watch the one that ended up exploding, but lost track of the date/time and missed it.

I saw that the two side boosters made a perfect return to Cape Canaveral. Is there any word on the central booster? I heard they were supposed to recover that one out at sea.

I heard on the news that the center booster landed safely on the barge out in the Atlantic.

Re: some random thoughts

Looking at MSN Money NYSE futures are looking good. Asian market looked mixed and Europe is positive for now. But how the day plays out no one knows for sure. Lets hope it isn't to crazy.

Well, Elon Musk did say before the launch that his gut was telling him they had a 2/3 chance of success even though his engineers said it was more like 50/50. With 2 out of 3 boosters comming back successfully I guess his gut was right. I wonder what he would have to say about today's market. :D

Musk launch team miscalculated just a bit and the red convertible is headed out to the asteroid belt instead of a Mars trajectory.

Still successful and shows he can get heavy payloads to orbit and beyond.

Wait, you aren't serious about this are you? Guess I can google it...but unless something went wrong I cant believe they could not' calculate a trip to mars accurately.

They MAY HAVE TO engage the Tesla’s Ludicrous Speed to get back on track! :stooges:

As up and down the market was all day I really thought by 3 o'clock we had a chance to see a little profit. Then the floor fell out from under us and the day turned sour. DANG!!! :banghead:

Now I know how Charlie Brown felt when Lucy took the football away...;swear

According to MSN Money futures are down. The Asian Market was mostly up but the European Market is down. After yesterdays crazy ride maybe a fresh pair of sticky pants is in order.

Its interesting they mounted camera booms to the car, is it intended to continue streaming video?

From what I got out of an article or two was that the batteries were only good for about 12 hours after launch. It would have been cool if there were some solar panels and an antenna to keep transmitting pictures.

Re: some random thoughts

Another rollercoaster ride today. A week and a half that hopefully we can watch in the rear view mirror. Sure can't ignore a possible rocky week coming up though. Planning on a fresh pair of sticky pants for Monday just to be safe.
