nasa1974's Account Talk

Well the Nikkei is up again today and reports are saying that the world markets are up because of the Nikkei. If you had the forthought to jump into the I fund Wednesday last week congratulations. Over the last 3 days the I fund has earned $1.23 per share. However, it is down $0.58 for the month. The S fund is up $0.71 per share for the last 3 days and is up $0.12 for the month. While the C fund has earned $0.50 per share over the last 3 days but is down $0.08 for the month. The F fund hasn't faired as well over the last 3 days, down $0.07 per share, but is up $0.05 for the month.
Today should be interesting. Make sure that safetybar is tight, we might be in for a wild ride.

thanks for the stats!

Looks like another day at the amusement park.

"One price, all rides, all day" Come on in and have some fun.
Cotten candy and dippin dots extra.
Stay around after dark and enjoy the fireworks.

The F fund is up a little for the year. Generally I dont like it but it can be good for a little boost if you can time it right.

As for mixing F fund with stocks, I cant see it, usually that just is good for diluting the earnings of either.

Agreed FAB. I've gained over 1% this year alone just from timing the F fund. ;)

Well around 1:30pm EDT both the C & S funds went positive. :D Not a whole lot but enough to get a little excited. With about 15 minutes before the closing bell the C fund was sitting around 0.44 and the S fund was around 0.28. Good enough to make up about half of yesterdays losses. Except in the last 15 minutes the market went into a selling frenzy and both funds lost almost half of their gains. But finishing on the positive side vs. negative is a good thing.:suspicious: Better luck tomorrow.

The Tracker is real interesting. There are 725 members with the low at -7.55% and the high at 9.34%. A difference of 16.89.
Since the Tracker is set in levels of 50 members in each level it is interesting on how close everyone is within these levels. An example is a 0.28 point spread between positions 501 and 550. Most levels are less than 0.50. The highest spread is in the top two levels and the two lowest levels: 1-50 (3.86), 51-100 (1.24), 651-700 (1.43) and 701-725 (4.91).

Good luck today.

Dang!! I'm not posting enough. I fell back to the second page. :embarrest:

OK folks what happens on Friday??? We finally pushed above 1300 in the C fund and stayed above 1300 and closed just below 1310. Because of that push will we see a sell off tomorrow. My gut is telling me yes, but it would be nice to finish off the 1st quarter real strong.

I kind of agree with you from a Chart of the S&P from to 1043 high to where we got up to today is a top of a bearish channel.

You can draw a parallel line from the tail of the second down day after 1343 and the top of the first day up after the bottom. I just cand draw charts yet. Please excuse.:o

One of my daily routines is I get on SpaceWeather.com http://www.spaceweather.com/ to see what is going around us. This morning there is a link to a really fantastic video of the Northern Lights. Enjoy!!

Incredible images, thanks for sharing.

Well yesterday worked out well if you were in the C & D funds. It got a little scary later in the day. The F fund was a teaser. It looked like it would add a little to the account but the lunch bunch started the sell off and it never recovered. The I fund finally gave back some of the profits it gave during the week.

Well I am back on the plus side for the month. :D Sitting at 99 on the Tracker, but if you count all the ties I am tied at #69. Let's hope the last 4 trading days of the month can add to our accounts. If I can get 1.25% more next week I will match my high for the year. ;)

Have a great weekend everybody. Later.
