Ahhh, thanks Tom! Look at me, I can't stop jumping around I'm so happy!! :^mlk_man wrote:You got it! :dude:YOu know Tom, I should at least be a "preferred member". LOL
I bet you "preferred" I didn't do so many tranfers............Just want you to know that you and all the members I am tracking are all preferred members to me...
BTW, for those that don't get it yet, this is considered "dollar cost averaging". If a fund drops after your initial buy, keep buying as it drops. This way if you buy shares at say $15, $14.50 and finally at $14.00 and then it starts coming back up, your average per share price paid is $14.50. This is better than putting all your eggs in one basket at $15 per share.Well the market went up yesterday after our deadline so I'm glad I only put 50% back into the S fund. I'll put the other 50% back into it today and try to buy low.
LOL. You're definitely a member alright!YOu know Tom, I should at least be a "preferred member". LOL
OMG, Rolo is a moderator now? I hope if I start something that I catch him on one of those "good" days.....
Where's all the female moderators?
Of course, I usually put all my eggs in one basket. It leaves one hand free to do "other" things...............:^
Congrats Rolo, I mean rolo.......:x

I'm thinking.................$15.98?
Good luck all,

[bI am curious to see if "those people" end up being the most correct for maximising returns. When did you start DCA?
Oh Rolo, thanks for bringing it up, I can see how my post may have come across as condescending. My post was meant for those who aren't quite as market savvy as others. Sometimes this place gets a little technical, which is good for some, but we also have new members joining everyday. I know some of us that have been here for awhile take that for granted and get tired of seeing the same questions asked, but all of us here have become better educated on the market and most of us owe it to TSPtalk.com. Some have moved on, some have retired and living the high life, some have made enemies, some have made lasting friendships, some may have passed away, some have even met here and gotten married.......okay, that's stretching it a bit, but it could be...
Hence my :shock:I don't usually DCA, you know that.
Having to make a move 4 hrs before the close of the market sometimes dictates it though.
Just remember, the only ones that count are the ones that are still there for you when you are down on your luck.
Just remember, it's not how fast you start the race, it's how you finish. :^
I didn't either. Maybe those long weekends count.Well I lucked out yesterday and got that penny in the G fund. Anybody see it coming that quickly? I sure didn't.
As someone else pointed out, you sure it's not just 3 members with 400 alias's? :shock:With 1200 plus members and almost 30,000 posts,
