Or should I say "Pale Rider"? Dollar cost averaging on the way up gives some protection incase of a reversal. I think a liftoff is on the way - suggest you tie your shoes to the stirrups so you stay in the saddle. This should be fun! I hope heights don't bother you - and you won't have to share your space. Good investing.

I'm still expecting the market to drop soon. Looking at that Air Freight Index I posted earlier, it may have started dropping at the end of May or the beginning of June. Tough to tell. Someone posted on another thread that they thought the market would start dropping at the beginning of July. This may be another good call.

I won't have access to a computer tomorrow, my laptop's hard-drive bought the big one so I won't be able to use my wireless connection till I get another.

Just as well, I'm considering leaving this site anyway. Not sure why a couple of posters here are allowed to continue post especially after one bashes 3 different people in a week. Although I have told somefolks I would ignore them, this has proven too difficult for my personality. I just can't ignore the unneeded bashings on myself and others.

Beginning to become more of a hassle than it's worth. I'll think about it over the weekend. Here, let me post it for ya guys............"Don't let the door hit ya in the *** on the way out!"...................

Listen, you are the one in the stirrups, if you ride and stay - you are the one making money for your future. What does it matter what others say - you will be taking it home in a bucket - they won't even be carrying a bucket. Money has no personality, only tax consequences - and you are deferred until later. Make hay while you can and use more dollar cost averaging when you feel the desire. If we end up getting a lift off it will probably come from the blind side - be prepared. Lots of negative stuff in the Philly Fed to make AG happy. Some good stuff too, reduced prices paid going on several months now. We are in a Goldilocks economy - not too strong, just right. The LEI tomorrow will probably show a continuation of negative sentiment as it has now for I think more than 8 months. The Fed likes that.

Oh don't worry, I'm still 100% S. :^

Just think we might get one down day soon is all. I'll still ride through it till my system tells me otherwise. I've made several mistakes by trying to predict pullbacks and uptrends, so now I'll just play the numbers like I should.

Still doing quite well in my Roth because I can't trade everyday which has caused me to stay in and out longer than I have with my TSP, which has helped immensely.

But like I said, no morepredictions, only reactions..........:^I'll leave the predictions to the so called "market know it alls". Time for me to get back to the top of the totem pole. All your "friends" leave ya when you don't do so well...........

Mike .... your friends are still here. The spats kind of make folks draw back a little. As a fellow bull, I know that bears like red. So here is a photo of a bear wearing red, that will maybe give U a chuckle, and U can pay attention to the totem.

Ya I’m here too. Also it is some what numbing to watch/read an exchange like that. This is my first time on any type of discussion board and I did not what to interject anything for fear of throwing fuel on the fire.

To the other parties: Let people make their own mistakes. Put the information out for them to read and let them develop their own opinions and strategies. My strategy is not very clear this year but I am getting a feel for what I’m doing. I don’t teach my kids independence by making every decision for them. If you feel that you need to defend or reply to this please do so in my account talk thread or PM me. I’m not writing this to hurt anyone but this is getting out of hand and makes for a lot of reading.

I am in total agreement with Spaf and Show-me.

I like hearing what you are doing in the market:^. I can't say that I have an exact plan or strategy laid out of my own yet, but I like to hear what everyone has to say with the exception of brow beatingeach other. If anyone had all the right answers in the market, with a fool proof strategy, well, I guess we all must of died and went to heaven. Hell is where we are at now, with no fail-safe answers and we're all in this together.

I'd have to say that I tend to be more in line with your comments or similar comments, when it comes to "No gain, without pain" or "No guts, no glory"

Hang in there.

I'm a newB, but not as new as my joined date states. I was just setting on the side lines taking it all in.

Thanks folks! I celebrated at the pig roast. Myself and three friends all celebrate a birthday within the same week so we do it every year. Three hundred people, three pigs, some beef, chickens, hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course lots of salads and stuff for the non-carnivores. :^Oh, did I mention that refreshing beverage called beer? :shock: Good times. I'll invite you all over next year! Just bring a sleeping bag and some bug repellant!

Looks like we might actually squeak out a gain today..........:u
