Market Talk / Nov. 5 - Nov. 11

I may be mistaken, but I took the TSP annoucement, the same way that Vector took it... G Fund only, but what the hay, I can always change it on Monday. :D

Yeah Show-me,

That part led me to believe that all funds were accepted, but the first part, where they talk about " will be open accept our investments in the G Fund" is what confused me. Not that I'm not hard to confuse.

Either way I'm covered. :) Enjoy the rest of the weekend and a big congrats on your great returns.

To all my fellow federal employees who are also veterans-

Happy Veterans Day.

Thank you for your service to our nation.

Somewhere along the way I mentioned an investing experience I had with GT (Goodyear). I bought some healthy shares years ago at a price of $15 only to be squeezed out at $19. But I had so much confidence in GT that I put my daughter in at $19 and watched it run to $104.00 and then do a 2 for 1 split. I'm hoping to do the same ride this time for myself - does lightening strike twice? Be right and sit tight all the way.

The site said that the Department of the Treasury will be open for the G Fund investments. The Thrift Savings Plan is an account for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investments Board with the Dept. of the Treasury, where the G Fund is. The other funds (C, S, I, and F) are in the market. TSP.gov was explaining that the market is open and so is the Treasury, so their transfers will all happen today, even though it is a federal holiday.

Will be closing the market talk thread for this week. Time to start a new one!
Thanks for all the comments and views!
See Ya!
