Don't poke the bears.

;)

It's quite ironic though. Don't see many of them around on BOTH up & down days. It sure would be nice to get their input on both. Heck, "The Technician" is currently bearish and the perfect role model since he faithfully contributes continually. I respect that which leads listening to what he has to say. We're all bears at one time or another. ;)

I think we should all thank Tom this week, that is if you took his advice. It was really cool making money, but I am backing away from C Fund for a wee while.

Old saying....:D .....!
"It's harder to get the bear from the bull than it is to get the bull from the bear."

I wonder how many folks in the TSP Talk Top 5 got a piece of yesterday?
1. Griffin 11.54%
2. Fundsurfer 9.91%
3. Faustus 9.38%
4. Wheels 8.70%
5. sugarandspice 7.93%

That would have been an incredible one day stab at volatile TSP markets. Gutsy maneuver. Anyone close to the Top 5 stands a nice chance of moving up... after that one. :)

I think folks on both sides are weary of the unnecessary ridicule and pissing matches, Rod.

There are sure a lot of nervous people out there, and I am one of them. But I know that tends to be a good thing for the market. Everyone seems to be saying get out on this rally. Two or three weeks ago the talking heads were saying it's a buying opportunity - but it wasn't. Now they say sell the rallies. Are they wrong again? I'm betting yes.

Sentiment has completely changed in the past month plus. It's a different game. As always, buy fear - sell euphoria.

Tom

5T'S not only did I not get a piece of yesterday, I got the whole rotten deal the two days before.

I think the whole list is going to get shook up, I don't track other people's move but I think S&S will probably end up at the top.

S&S and I both transferred out of stocks on 6/14 and missed the big move. I have not seen anyone who hit it correctly. Tom actually did very good moving into the market at the right time.

Fundsurfer,

I don't track other's moves, but as I was calculating the money flow data, I noticed that she moved 100% into the I and then we got the big move up. Maybe she backed out and I didn't notice.

It caught my attention because that was the day I screwed the pooch and moved into the F.

FS...looks like 'Show-me' and 'Ocean' both hit it right, if by COB 6/14, means they made their IFTs before the deadline on the 14th??

Market held up well today after the big run.

I did make a IFT and reduced long's to 25% at the close!! I think we must backfill some here around the 200DMA, but that's only my opinion. ( SEE CHART ) I stayed 25% long because I agree with Tom on sentiment and the indictors say rally.

We need to get a slower moving/backfilling/wall-of worry type market to keep things healthy! I was heavily exposed and wanted to take some money off the table after the Big two day run. I am a buyer at these levels and below, but just playing it a little safer!! I don't trust the Big Mouths of the Fed!!! They were talking again today. I still think it's one and done for the Fed.

I wish the Fed Boys would listen to Bob Brinker. When Bob talks I listen.. That is my personal opinion of course.

I also think Birchtree has it correct on the Big Caps.. The reason, Flight to Quality!!! It will be a wild summer, but the Big Dogs will hold up the best. By that I mean not as much market swings. I think stocks are undervalued here.

Good Investing/trading!

Birchtree,

Please come back my friend!! I miss your posts. I also miss some of the other folks that have left. What ever happened to sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me..

COME BACK, COME BACK, ALL THOSE WHO ARE NOT BANNED. I MISS SEVERAL OF THE OLD FOLKS. MAYBE THEY HAVE MOVED ON TO BIGGER AN BETTER THINGS. IF WE BASH EACH OTHER WE WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE THOSE THAT POST. YOU SHOULD NEVER ATTACK ANYONES INVESTMENT POSTION. YOU WILL DISCOURAGE THEM FROM POSTING AGAIN. PEOPLE GET UPSET WHEN THEY ARE LOSING MONEY OR NOT MAKING IT. AGAIN, COME BACK FOLKS!! JUST FOLLOW THE BOARD RULES AND STAY AWAY FROM SUBJECTS THAT STIRS UP TO MUCH EMOTION... I ALSO ENJOY THE NEWER MEMBERS WHO ARE TEACHING THIS OLD DOG A FEW NEW TRICKS. TRUST ME,
WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY I LEARN QUICK!!!! YA, VERY QUICK!!!

I believe you are viewing this in the wrong light.

I don't see it as ridicule nor are there any REAL "pm's" going on. This is the nature of the beast in a competitive trading environment. As long as we keep it clean, it can become quite productive for both sides. It's no different from "Bulls & Bears" on FOX.;)

Funny you should mention the "talking heads" on TV and radio. I'm convinced that part of the problem we see around here is that people are so used to hearing "screaming debates" in the media, that they no longer understand how to disagree!

-"I think the market will drop over the next week."
-"Only the most oblivious idiot can't see that the market will most certainly drop over the next week!"

Same information....whole different attitude. The first is interesting, and invites discussion. The second is just baiting, and makes many just want to tune the speaker out. The first understands that there may be other points of view. The second is closed minded, and the result of black-and-white thinking.

I refuse to watch the "news" channels unless they're actually reporting news!

(My weekly rant is now complete....please move along....) :D

Rod,

I agree! Just obey the board rules and don't take things personal! I'm also a member of Traders-Talk, and like this board personal attacks are absolutely not tolerated. However, when you criticize someones opinion some folks will just stop giving it. Or poke at them, you know pull their string!

I guess you could just do what my wife and son do when I give my opinion to them. They just reply "YA, WHATEVER!" Post your opinion and let the folks decided. Don't debate. You know the expression, "never debate religion, politicks, and the Stock Market!"

Ticked,

You are correct about moving on. The post was meant for those that might be reading , but no longer posting.

Let us get back to, "The Most Excellent Discussion on the Art of Making some Money!" As Bill or Ted would say!

Yes, Yes I was in the Fn' fund myself. Got some BUM DOPE and fell for it. I've tried, but poor me I just can't call the "F" fund it always has sex its way with me!:(
