Market Talk / Dec. 25 - 31

Internationals? Sliding as well. Look at the data, the peaks are easy to spot, valleys are a bit more difficult. Look at the MSCI data, every country they track is down, less Singapore and NZ. We will slip and slide for at least a couple more percent. though of course we will have slight rebounds before further dipping. Nothing worth the risk of day trading on a 12 bells deadline though.

tsp board did figure in our favor quite handsomely back on wed, the 28th.
What the Hades are you talk about? :@

ON TUESDAY THE 27TH WHEN THE MSCI WAS DOWN 0.22%, THE I-FUND WAS DOWN 0.79%. (I.E., THEY SHORT CHANGED US 0.57% - WHICH IS A LOT TO BE OFF IN ONE DAY IMHO). THEN ON THE NEXT DAY THEY GIVE US BACK OUR 0.57% AND YOU CALL IT DOING US A FAVOR :@*SIGH*

BETWEENDEC 5TH AND 23ND THE %-RETURN OF MSCI AND THE I-FUND WAS EXACTLY THE SAME (WITHIN 3-HUNDREDTHS OF A PERCENT). BUT ON DEC 1ST&2ND AND 27TH&28TH THEY FUDGE THE SHARE PRICE BY AT LEAST 0.6% AND THEN ADJUST IT BACK RIGHT THE NEXT DAY.

It does make a person wonder why they do this:*. Oh yeah, they say they want to discourage person from trading in-or-out ofa fundif it looks wise to do so on a specific day.

(Note to self: Send PM to FuturesTrader apologizingif I sounded like I was shouting or angry at him)
no prob on the PM, greg...i'm lookin at 17.54 close on tues, 27th...and 17.75 on wed, the 28th..+.21 cents = .21/17.54 = +1.197%,msci was +.463%..a +.734% in our favor...so, like you say, giving us back our .57and an additional .164..based on your observations, the adjustmentsdo look somewhat arbitrary, tho i doubt it is.

Tuesday will be another down day
I agree with you and many others are thinking the same thing... So,we will probably get a bounce than a sell-off... The market always finds a way to suprise us, but I'm not willing to bet on it!!! I agree with you on Internationals Sliding as well. They are duea correction!

Staying in cash until the trend is clear....

The MSCI is down 0.94% today (12/30/05).
If they were honest :X, the I-fund will down the same amount (17 cents).

Remember, I said "IF" :X
They played it straight today. The I-fund dropped 17 cents at $17.59.
That's cool since I bought an additional 40% I-fund.

G fund paid the penny today. Those rate hikes may push the annual pay out over 5% at this point.

Hey! Now all we have to do is figure out when they are going to pull these stunts and make some money off of it. :u

Well I've been out at the hunting camp...seen some big foot prints....big buck and doe dancing around......my son is going to get him a big rack this year I believe.....

So what did I tell you last week Soldat....it petered out..:^....and next week it should hold at first and then start a selling slide....and slide and slide......and so on.....:U

Under these past several weeks in the market, where we had a good run and then it petered out at EOY, I wouldn't be holding your money in it .......its profit taking time.....and pay the taxes over a year later....:x

I firmly believe the I fund will drop some here with the C and S funds dropping, expecting the dollar to gain some strength for a bit......then I believe the I fund will come back but its a few months off...:i

Careful Davy,......Keep you eyes open :oothere wolves in them thar woods young Crockett!!!;)

:dude:Today...Dancing With Wolves is on post, The Technician is enjoying the holidays, and Carnac didn't get it right (but he did preceive it might happen....a month or so ago)

Learning, Thats why we need the insurance and assurance of intraday trades. They don't play entirely fair with our funds.

Crasher,

Someday you may be offered intraday trading capability but it will come with an attached fee - pay as you play - just like everywhere else in finance.

Techy,

Birchy here and ready for another exciting ride. Over the summer I parked my Flash Gordon rocket on the front lawn thinking it would be wiser to hedge my bets and build an Ark, just in case we're in for another sideways year. But I'm seriously thinking about topping up the fuel gauge on the oh so quiet rocket- time may be approaching. I spent two years of base over base looking up until my neck strained - but now time has come finally for the lift off no one is even considering - they'er all watching the dazzling I fund.
