Bonds article

Nice article on CNBC talking about how investors are putting more weight into municipal bonds (F Fund) because of concerns over market direction.

why tomorrow?

Analysts on CNBC said there should be upside/buying tomorrow because of the heavy selloff today.
My question is, what is going to change from today? Will the cliff be averted? Will earnings suddenly skyrocket? Or perhaps they are just trying to stop the markets from a more damaging selloff. Whatever the reason, I don't believe them!! I'm still 100% out of index funds C, I, and S.

Re: why tomorrow?

There will be news releases by some CEOs that are attending the White House meetings - these occurred after the news conference. If they have anything positive to report regarding a compromise you'll see a strong spike upwards - IMHO of course.

Good point. I agree the markets look for any shred of positive news as a reason to buy and look for a rally. I still think there is too much Global uncertainty for the rally to last a significant time.

Gosh, if we could just get a sense of leadership we could have a great market during the next four years.

would romney be able to fix the euro crisis and china's slowing growth as well? maybe he even had a plan to stop hurricane sandy from hitting US shores, but we'd have to elect him before he'd show us how do to it ;) it wouldn't have mattered if he got elected. there probably would be a pop in the markets, followed by what we're seeing right now.

presidents are just talking heads anyway, reps or dems are basically same **** different toilet
