justbizness45's Account Talk

Good morning everyone, I hope all of you that left work for a long weekend enjoy today.:) I had two submarines come in for the holliday which means they have things that need to be fixed so.....I am going in this morning. My beloved wife is out participating in Black Friay trying to get some deals and prop up the enconomy so it is probably a good thing I am working this weekend. I make it she spends it!! I am still 94G/6F. Enjoy the weekend!!

OK, I almost pulled the trigger and got in today. I changed my mind at the last minute. I really didn't expect it to go this low or I might have nibbled. Darn IFT rules. Since we got all the way down to an 819 close today, like several of you I am looking at 760-780 re-entry. I got out at S&P 857. My plan tomorrow is if we are down at IFT time I am going to get rid of my F and buy C & S and maybe I for 50% in stocks. The hope is for another big down day. If the markets up I will wait. Still 94G/6F. My small F fund investment is up about 2% :p on 6% investment which about all I expected plus the bond market is getting scary so it's time to exit.

Last month I ended down 2.93% which beat the market average but was still a loss. Congrats to everyone that made money especially Greg, ATC and TT. You guys did great. Good luck to all this month.:D

That sounds like a good plan.

Although you will not know everything until almost Noon.

Good luck

Other than picking up some deals, anyone see any reason for market futures to be up today?

0610 PST off to work. Have a great day folks!:)

Traders (not investors) are usually looking to position themselves in a way to exploit sentiment. Or they are looking at what their indicators are saying and just playing the market according those. That's why the market often appears irrational.

I thought nothing goes straight down. Guess we need to rewrite that rule based on yesterday. I tried to catch a intra day bounce and got beat, now I'm looking for the dead kitty to narrow my loss.

This damn market is giving me heartburn.

I'm seeing intervention in the Yen again. Yesterday's sell-off ended with very little short covering. Some were probably forced to cover overnight.

It was not a high volume sell off either. That's bullish. I'm hearing the selling may have been due to a forced liquidation, but that's all I know. Looking to buy more weakness.

Yup, and gold also got liquidated big time yesterday. There might be more to come though. I'm watching the 818 level again. That needs to hold.

I'm still looking for some weakness to buy. Looks like I should have bought it when I saw it. 20/20 hindsight. If the market starts selling and I will start buying a bit. Alot of people think December will be an up month. I saw one post where the economist thinks we will have a 25 - 40% upswing starting 15 Dec. While I am not that bullish yet I do think we are due for some upswing after the killing in Oct and early Nov. Keep some dry powder and have a great day tomorrow.

They need money and nobody's buying.........

"The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey attracted no bids from investment banks interested in underwriting a $300 million taxable note offering in another sign that the seizure in credit markets persists."

I wonder what will happen when this happens to the Fed? :worried: Oh yeah, they can just print more.

A friend of mine was telling me his mother is a millionaire several times over and she keeps her money in municipal bonds, safest thing in the world..... Revenues in cities/states are all dropping with the housing prices. I don't think any investment that has bond in the title is too safe right now. California is just starting to implode and then the state/city financial bubbles will bust.

I'm still waiting for an entry point 94G/6F.

Still waiting for some weakness to buy in. Maybe today, futures are down and as Show-Me pointed out all the indexes are at the 20DMA. I would love a 760-780 buy-in but I don't see it in the cards this week. If the market is down I may nibble a bit but I will save most for a better opportunity.

Hi all, still on the same plan as before. I am going to buy weakness if I see it before noon. That is easier said than done lately. Still 94G/6F and all my powder is dry. GL to all!!
