Re: have you found your MOJO?

JTH "I also want to note that for the first time since the great Unlimited IFT era, my contributions have started up again." and your contributions to our decision processes too.:D

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Thank you friends :)

30 minute SPX Fibonacci Channel showing just how amazing this rally has been and showing we are still within the center channel and the uptrend is still intact. If one were looking for a pullback I'd look for a test of any of the following levels, 1303, 1285, 1269, 1253, 1235, after that it's a double bottom test at 1200.

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

DakotaKid brought up a good point concerning his investment strategy where he stays partially invested most of the time, then partially presses in & out of the price waves. .

I've started a process where I have the majority of my retirement savings invested for the long haul (with a provision to move to cash if there is a serious compelling reason to flee to safety). I "play in traffic" with the remainder of my savings...an amount I deem above and beyond what I'll require to retire at 65. If I make any profit I push that profit into my long-term investments. It's a good way to have a little fun and give yourself better reason to stay on top of things w/out betting the house every time.

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

It will be a lackluster month for me, as I will have only outperformed the G-Fund. One might think I'd be disappointed with this sort of performance, but then you'd have to understand that in Jan 2010 & 2011 I went straight to the top of the tracker but then finished the month in the bottom, so finishing in the black is an improvement. Tomorrow I will use my IFT to make a partial entry into stocks & bonds. I will then buy my way down, seeking to retake the edge the markets currently have on me. Life is good, I have time and I intend to use it.

The 20 moving average is overextended as is price. Price always comes back to the moving averages, the 50 MA will be re-visited, you can count on it...

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

I love the end of the month, it's a great way to wrap things up, review, adjust, and re-attack. I don't need to tell you AGG is overbought, overextended, and overgapped, so that makes an entry into the F-Fund unappealing. Meanwhile, stocks are toppy so there really isn't a great way to spend your last IFT if you have one. With a 30% entry into the S-Fund, I'm willing to accept some substantial risk, then use next month's IFTs to buy more for less.

In an ideal world I'd take the first entry at 660, that's an aproximate 23.6% retracement of the last wave. I think 640-630 needs a test...

Re: have you found your MOJO?

I look at the message board for the first time in 2 months and what do I see?

that old MOJO title I put up (see go advanced, to change reply titles) is still there - which I will leave since I haven't found mine, and JTH comments about what a mistake for those who buy into F-fund (nothing personal, but I just did that today, not having seen the afternoon action coming); More to the point, I haven't seen anything coming since late 2008. I was looking more toward a breach of 1,300 before putting more into equties, and it wasn't close enough at noon to do anything more than a half-hearted tip-toe.

WOW, THE amoeba is BACK!!

Oh, I tried to reset his subject line but the very next post ruined it so I gave up.

Yeah, the markets are still being manipulated, so I guess we can only make our best educated guess on what to do.

Good luck and welcome back :D

Yes I have my MOJO!

I say this with a kind heart, it would be inconsiderate of me to say that making an entry into the F-Fund is a mistake, unappealing yes, a mistake no. I say that because I realize others may have different views and I wish not to insult them by calling their decision a mistake. As for my mojo, I never lost it, just made a mistake...

Some are saying that this month may be good for bonds (short term). The FEDS are looking to sell more before the end of the month.

Mojo'in

Good morning

In post #3266 I pointed out the two gaps in AGG on the 30 minute chart. Within this time frame I like to see those gaps get filled before considering an entry. As for stocks, I've seen a lot of so-called you tube gurus call the top 4 days ago, funny thing is both the Transportation Index and the Wilshire 4500 made new highs today, if they close off the highes will they admit they were wrong?

That's what I meant...they are never "wrong". For guys that regularly use the past to predict the future they sure like to forget about their own past.

Funny thing about the past, for some people it stands for "Personally Adjusted for Success Today"............;)

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

All we need is a nice quiet day in the markets, nothing special, just hold the ground we gained Wednesday...

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Profits aren't as heavy as last year but still growing and that will continue to send prices higher don't you think. The VIX is saying strength will arrive later today.

Re: Mojo'in

I wish it was, but as usual when they are wrong, they find someway to justify it...
Ha, that describes financial planners to a T: The art of explaining tomorrow why the outcome you sold yesterday isn't coming true today.
