Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

I_T had to be somewhere today. I haven't seen him on the board at all yet.

If his mental state is anything like mine right now, a day off sounds real good. :)

I"m here............sorry, been out in the frigid weather all day here in TEXAS!! Went out in the country to feed a friends horse with a round bale of hay back of the pickup. Get out in the mud and his 4X4 doesn't work! Had to push the dang truck all the way back out of the pasture through the mud............yuck!!!

By the looks of the market today, I'm glad I wasn't here................ Missed a great opportunity to buy some more shorts today.........oh well.......horse has to eat too...............;)

Take it easy pushing that truck!! We don't want you to get injured and wind up in the hospital! Good luck working on that used Toyota truck too..:)

At least I would be warm in the hospital, my mother keeps turning the heat off at night. Um ma, it's 16 degrees outside.......................

IT,

Can you help me understand how tsp.gov calculated a .80 loss today for the I fund? All the major charts show gain of .02 . I'm confused?

Thanks much,

Dave

I wish I knew Dave. I have never understood the I fund. I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with it. I can only assume it's because the dollar was up about that much today. I believe the price of the dollar is factored in because of currency exchange rates with the various overseas companies the I fund is invested with. A higher dollar is bad for the I fund whereas as a lower dollar is good it.

IT what do you think of this snow! Kiddos pulling each other behind the four wheeler, schools closed, work closed, gotta luv working for the gubment. Here is to making some green today! Let the trading begin. GL

The I fund often is out of sink with other international fund returns. Not sure why but probably just to irritate us. I_T, I joined the service earlier this week. I like that goal of 2% per month :). Onward and upward :D.

Yeah it figures, I leave Maryland at the end of Nov to get away from the snow and wake up this morning to snow in central Texas. :( I'm just gonna give in and head to Wisconsin sometime this month................

Hi. I have been reading this site for some time and trying to follow along with the advice that y"all give on which fund to move money in and out of and it is working pretty good for me. But, I do have a question..... I see that your last post said it was made at "today 2:48pm". I don't understand? Where are you that it is 2:48pm today? Or, is this really showing a post from yesterday?

Thanks,
secret squirrel

Welcome aboard HT! We might not ever get a monthly prize, but I think we'll always have a chance at the yearly prizes............:D
