Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

A fine day to be a FAZ owner, no? I think next week could be modestly ugly (for longs). I suspect early strength will be reversed by the end of the week and we'll finish lower. If at anytime we break below 1132, things could really get ugly... but I'm getting ahead of myself.

I don't play with faz/fas very much, but I loaded up on TNA shorts this morning. That was a gift at those lofty levels.

Back to your financials. Looking at XLF, I see we broke below a critical level (14.30) this morning. This is bad news and I'd be a buyer of FAZ on any dips, should we see any the next few sessions.

Good call so far. Hope you're right about the rest too............:D

It is rather unfortunate your FAZ is not participating in this glorious pullback, although taking another look, I see it sure is trying to! (Scratch that, completely. Financials just fell off the cliff.) As a heads up, I'm getting a short term "buy" signal today as long as $SPX stays below ~1176 thru 4pm.

Sorry, been busy lately with a lot going on. Don't worry, I'll post when I get a signal.

Yes, still holding Faz...............

Good news, IT. My system will flip back to short if SPX closes above 1174. (currently 1181, so odds look favorable)

Are you a day trader? If not, three moves in three days would mean you can't sell unless you are using new money to buy each time? From what I read on your blog, you haven't been using this "system" very long. I wish you luck with it!! :)

Thanks. I dabble with true day trading when I have the time, but I want to get away from it and be more of a swing trader. Swing trading seems a bit easier and definitely requires less of a time commitment. The system (via backtesting) rarely produces back to back to back trades like this week. Maybe this next short signal will have some staying power.

I did some checking... the last time I received 3 consecutive signals consisting of short-long-short was mid April. Just sayin'. :)

I just sent out an e-mail a few minutes ago. If you don't get it, please let me know.
