Trend Following Wizards – Close of 2012

January 16th, 2013 · 6 Comments · Trend Following, Trend Following Wizards

"To avoid a negative 2012 year, it would have taken the trend following Wizards a “December home-run” (or rather – from the cricket equivalent – “hitting for six“; quite litteraly as six is amount of percentage points by which the virtual index is in the red)."

I can't find this word in the dictionary. It is similar to a word my grandgirl learned in her fourth grade class. She uses it all the time. I completed high school and never use the word and do not hear it used much. We didn't learn this word in school. I know the meaning. Are school kids learning more in class now and are smarter?

Sorry - didn't mean to get off subject.

It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, when you're number one. What you got to have is faith and discipline when you're not a winner.

I'm wondering if you'd be kind enough to share your thoughts on gas.

Personally, I believe that despite the foul odor, it is a much needed bodily function that helps poisonous vapor escape from the body. It is also my belief that office workers that have to hold them have a much higher occurrence of colon cancer compared to those that work outside and can just let it go. Of course, I have not seen a study on this, so it is just a hypothesis at this point. ;)

Where's the "don't like" button

It actually looks like a classic "weight lifter's head and arms" candlestick formation to me. Well, I say classic, but I might have just came up with it. :toung: Looks like it wants to go to $3.40, but that would be an awfully long forearm, so it could be about played out. I think it will see $2.40 before it sees $3.40.

Nice, the declining MACD is an excellent example of a clear divergence from price. My biggest fear is "at what price" does gas begin to prohibit the economy's growth.

already is at the current level, IMO. though big oil knows they can keep charging the current amount or higher and people will still have to buy it

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

(Romans 1:19-21)
