:D My step-dad had them all over the house. I think my mother might have put one in his casket. :) Miss you George!!

By the way, for all you vets out there, my step-dad's name was George Murgatroyd and was the best mechanic in the Army for close to 30 years (I might be a bit biased). He came into my life when I was 6 and is the only father I've ever known. If you happened to have heard of him, stop by and say "hi".

Being a step-dad isn't always easy, but you can sure make a big difference in one's life if you have the fortitude to stick it out to take an interest in your step-kids lives. :)

Ok you convinced me. I'll keep trying.:) By the way, I hated the effect the Dale Carnegie class's had on our engineer supervisors. Why can't senior techs be incharged anymore.:( They got really wierd. Gave us that upfront friendly type enviroment, Took mostof the bonus money in the NSPS and had to split the restfor the techs. Rant over, I got out and they learned their lesson and went back to GS system.:)

IT,
I miss reading these quotes on your daily write-ups.......just sayin' ;)........cheers

Seems like someone was always offended either by the quotes themselves or by who said them. I'll post some I like here occasionally as I think they are good reminders, especially when life, or the markets, get us down.

Here is one I like:

A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

― Theodore Roosevelt

I'm pretty sure he was talking about sitting in the G fund..............;)

The bears were out in force last month and inflicted 6.91% of damage to the S fund bulls while my TSP Timer strategy suffered 2.01% of damage. As of the close on May 31st, the S fund bulls were still up 5.78% YTD while the TSP Timers were up 4.80%.

My IRA Timer strategy, which uses funds similar to our S and F funds but are not limited to the 2 IFT restriction, also suffered some initial damage, but were able to mend pretty quickly and inflict their own damage to the bears in their second trade and finished the month up 1.64%. My IRA Timer strategy is up 13.18% YTD, as of the close on May 31st, on just three extra IFTs.

In other news, my TNA/TZA, FAS/FAZ and UAPIX/UCPIX trades, which I post in my daily commentaries, all had a nice May and as of their last closed positions, are up 20.38%, 27.08% and 14.67% YTD respectively.

went to Ardmore , for Texas shootout , and only okie to win , out of 8 classes, great weekend , :D

Cool! They didn't boo you did they? I hated seeing OKC beat my Spurs last night, but I do like Durant. My betting system says OKC wins it all.........;)

Nice to see you at #11 on the tracker. Great job! :)
