Good Morning;
A breakdown day. With the start of the trading day looking so bearish, I would think we will end up breaking down through that symmetrical triangle on the S&P. This market IMO should only be played on the short side. Going long could be very hazardous to your health!

There seems to be some doubt, from what I read, that GLD the gold ETF does not have the physical gold backing that it should. I have read that GTU (Central Gold Trust) is backed by gold bullion. I will be tracking GTU now rather than GLD.

Good Morning;
I’ve decided to just list those funds and indicators that TSP’ers would be interested in here at TSPtalk. I’ll be listing some EFT’s over at Tom’s new website, EFTtalk.com.
I have listed below prices, and moving averages for, C, S, I, $BPNYA (Bullish Percent Index), $VIX (Volatility Index), and $USD (US Dollar). The C, S, and I funds have had trouble getting above their longer term moving averages, so until they do, confidence in these markets will be non-existent. A good time to play it safe in G or F. Rallies will be unsustainable, so making money in these will be very difficult, especially with TSP limitations.

The F-fund seems to work best with the Slow Stochastics indicator so I have listed the numbers relating to the fast line and the slow line. When the numbers are above 80 then cross below 80, that would be a sell signal. When the numbers are below 20 then cross above 20 that would be a buy signal. If the number stays above 80 or below 20 for 3 or more days, they are “embedded“. When embedded the F should be gaining momentum either upward or downward. Currently the F fund is coming down from an overbought condition.
$BPNYA (NYSE Bullish Percent Index) bearish, below 50% for quite some time, and, price, 33.82%, is below its 20dyma @ 44.22. NYSE Bullish Percent Index. simply put, is the percentage of all NYSE stocks on current buy signals from all NYSE Point and Figure charts. A reading above 50% is bullish, below 50% is bearish. A reading above 70% is overbought, below 30% is oversold. If you don’t believe this market is going lower, please go to stockcharts.com and type in $BPNYA to see this chart.

Excellent adjustments to your FCSI data. And the correlations with $USD, etc., are great! Most helpful. Thanks!

Good Morning;
I’ve decided to just list those funds and indicators that TSP’ers would be interested in here at TSPtalk. I’ll be listing some EFT’s over at Tom’s new website, EFTtalk.com in the near future.
A good time to play it safe in G in my opinion. Rallies in C, S, or I will be unsustainable, so making money in these markets will be very difficult, especially with TSP limitations. If you are lucky enough to catch a rally usually the declining 20day moving averages can act a resistance point and may be a good place to sell out..

Currently the F fund is coming down from an overbought condition as the Slow Stochastics indicator is falling.
$BPNYA (NYSE Bullish Percent Index) is considered bearish & oversold, below 30%, and the percent, 23.10%, is below its 20dyma @ 40.90. This oversold condition can persist for quite some time considering the markets current weakness. The last time we went down it was to only 8.00% !!!! Currently we are at 23.10%! Shorts are still in order until the percent moves back above 30%.
I’m currently 100G in the tracker and staying there. I don’t trust the F-fund as I think it is very overbought and losing upward momentum. Good Luck !

Hi,
:) I've been trying to get to this new site of Tom's EFTTalk.com, but I keep going to this spiritual awareness site,
Has this happened to anyone else?
What can I do?
Is www.TSPTlk.com the correct address? :confused:

Haven't seen that. Check Show-me's Acct Talk, signature line for the correct web address.

(Although, I will say, I think I might need a spiritual awareness site about now. Maybe its an omen?) :D:D

PS Just joking - Not having seen it, seriously I don't suggest posting it (there's alot of false phophets, and scam sites in increasing number, especially in this economy). Interesting, there's somehow a connection though - not likely something I'd trust, for PC security.

Good Morning;:)
I’ve decided to just list those funds and indicators that TSP’ers would be interested in here at TSPtalk. I’ll be listing some ETF’s over at Tom’s new website, ETFTalk.com in the near future.

Currently the F fund is coming down from an overbought condition as the Slow Stochastics indicator is falling.
$BPNYA (NYSE Bullish Percent Index) is considered bearish & oversold, below 30%, and the percentage reading @ 14.93%, is below its 20dyma @ 32.74%. This oversold condition can persist for quite some time considering the markets current weakness. The last time we went down it was to only 8.00% !!!! Currently we are at 14.93%! A buy signal does not trigger until the percentage reading moves back above 30%.
I’m currently 100G in the tracker and staying there. I don’t trust the F-fund as I think it is very overbought and losing upward momentum. Good Luck !

Currently the F fund slow stochastic indicator has come down to near a buy point but more time is needed to see if a bottom is forming. Personally I’m waiting for the BPNYA (below) to turn back up before investing in stocks.
