I have talked to many Vietnam veterans that came here in the 1960s and 1970s on military assignment. They stayed here. Others moved here upon release from military. Yes many weren't treated well upon return to the states; they were just during their duty. I was reasigned to Hawaii and didn't suffer any resentment.

Handballer, this morning I posted a `Vietnam' note about Admiral Denton
going to be speaker at a Marine Corps Heritage Foundation luncheon tomorrow in Triangle, VA to talk about his book "When Hell was in Session."
I wondered if just anyone could go, and if anyone was interested.
For the non-military, and Young-young board members, Denton was a POW of the Vietcong, & signaled `tortured' in Morse Code by blinking.
His book has been oo print, but WND.com bookstore has re-issued it.
It is good to have Non-fiction books written with truthfullness about the Vietnam vets & what they encountered. I wish there were more written about the Korean war/conflict, too.
