Steady.

She is surely not more beautiful than my Laberdoddle Stella.
We have a little trouble keeping the cockleburrs out of her tail.:)

Smartest dog I have ever been around!

That's wonderful !!!

Ella has everyone bragging about her beauty - neighbors, passing others on walks, or whenever I take her some place (briefly like Walmart parking lot - Blockbuster or whatever).

My favorite outing was at the Walmart Parking Lot when a total stranger comes up and tells me how a Dog's intelligence is measured (from the forehead to the back of the head - she stressed the longer and flatter the better) THEN SHE GOES TO MEASURE ELLA - and looks up with this really shocked expression like 'WOW WHAT A SUPER GENUSIS'.

Poddles are ranked the 'smartest' and of course the Labs are very smart as well. So we are dealing with an incredibly smart breed. In addition they are incredibly gentle and insightful..protective...adorable.

If Stella 'prances' like she's the hottest thing on Earth after she gets a bath when you have her out on a walk - then maybe we're even.

I have found you can't out love her - she soaks up every little bit and somehow brings it all right back.

My vote for smart dog:

Qualified as the dog with a human brain, the Schnauzer is a guard by nature, regularly used by the army and police; it is always alert without showing nervousness. It is calm, reflexive, very intelligent, inexhaustible attention, incredible quickness, great loyalty, courage, muscular force, resistance to weather conditions and diseases, with a especial predisposition to training.

Stella

Stella's dad is a standard poodle and her mom is half Lab and half standard poodle. She doesn't shed and is a very loyal and loving dog. She is always glad to see me when I get home....more so than my kids.:D

Justbiz,
I have seen a few Schnauzer and standard poodle cross pups for sale. I am sure that is a good combination.

CB,
Looks like your sheperd has a poker face.

Eldritch,
Will Audrey point quail or pheasants? Fine looking girl!

Steady,
Looks like your Ella has some competition.

I totally agree. Sadly, last month, I had to have my minature Schnazuer put down. She was 15 1/2, smart as could be and I miss her terribly.:(

Thanks, Gumby. I still have a 16 year old black lab. She is enjoying all of my attention now. And she is still pretty active. I'll need to wait awhile before getting attached to another animal. In the meantime, I still contribute to SPCA and my local shelter.

I going 100%G today......maybe the selloff won't happen until Monday but I expect a mild pull back this afternoon. No way I would go long in this market.
The government trying to prop up the banks and housing by spending is not going to work. The dollar is doomed....printing presses running at turbo speed.:worried:

Bought more SDS, SRS, and SKF today. Sold CAT @ $32.60

1 out of 7 people actually unemployed

From Marketwatch:
"Meanwhile, a separate survey of households showed 11.6 million people were unemployed and looking for work, totaling 7.6% of the workforce, compared with 7.2% in December. It's the highest unemployment rate since September 1992.
After adding in those who are too discouraged to look for work and those who are forced to cut back their hours to part-time, the alternative unemployment rate rose to 13.9% from 13.5%"

Do you think private investor's will pay more than a paltry sum for "toxic assets"? Maybe they will if the government guarentees them against loss. Wall Street is the problem....now the solution?

Wall Street helped produce the global financial and economic crisis. Now, as the Obama administration prepares to unveil a revised bailout plan for the banking system, policy makers hope Wall Street can be part of the solution.

I agree. How long do you think we have? With the other G countries are doing similar actions won't that tend to prop up the dollar at least for awhile?

I think that when the government has to resort to buying it's own treasuries in an effort to reduce long term interest rates......that will be the signal that other countries have given up on the US dollar. Without other countries like China buying US debt, the value of the dollar will implode and set off a dramtic downward spiral. Rampant inflation and devaluation of the dollar will surely follow.
The only redeeming thing I see about the world economies is many countries are in a similar predicament as the US. Alot of these countries do not have the resources that the US has. The increase in the US debt is going to be staggering....especially if the FED starts "insuring" the toxic assets of the banks. The huge pork bill that will more than likely be expidited through Congress will just be the start of many more to come.
The mindset is we can spend our way out of this mess. I don't see how that can work.
I wonder how many millions of $$$$ will be spent just printing this new money by the FED. Maybe they will use Soy ink and at least help the farmers out.

$9.1 trillion bailout allocation

How long will it be before the US cannot even pay the interest on this obligation? Basic rule of economics......."you can't spend yourself rich"
Congress is going to try.
