Frixxxx's Account Talk!

Awesome! Same commute, hope its short... :D
It is. When I moved to San Diego, I decided not to buy a second car. Bought a house near the bus line. 10 minutes to bus stop. 10 minute ride. 10 minute walk to my office.

And it's San Diego, so hardly any rain in my forecast.

And I moved from San Diego just 11 months ago...
Two ships passing in the night...
One ship to the west...
East the other...

More crappy Haiku for the member board!!!
But, then again, what is Haiku?
One thang it ain't.
This!

Well, for those who don't know, I left for Tampa last Sunday to see my father. All the siblings were there. Sunday night late, stopped and said hello. Monday he had to get an MRI for something on his brain. He already had Stage 4 kidney failure, aortic stenosis. He refused with all of us in the room. On Tuesday, they said he needed to leave the hospital. He didn't qualify for hospice since he wasn't in pain. However, they removed his CPAP and realized he was having trouble breathing, so they authorized his hospice stay. We checked him in Tuesday night and he looked at my mom and asked why it wasn't over yet. On Wednesday, 0313, he passed peacefully. Services were held in a packed house on Friday, where they announced that their new facilities building in the 55 and older community my parents lived in would be named after him. (He handled many of the upgrades and new building there and was loved by the staff.) Godspeed Dad!

Condolences from our family to you and yours Frixxx. I lost my Dad when I was 13 years old and I still think about him to this day. The suffering is over and he's in a better place.

Frixxx,

I am sorry for the loss of your Father. Take comfort in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I truly believe it is only temporary.

John 16:22 - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Frixxx, thank you so much for sharing your dad with us in your time of grief. It undoubtedly is a great help in your sorrow to know his community loved him so. May the Holy Spirit keep His arms about you and your family.

thinking of you and yours, Frixxxxx. I feel your pain and am feeling same, having suffered loss of my own dad back in July. still on family leave helping my mom transition to next phase of life as a widow.
