Eqypt

Re: Eqypt.....right before your eyes

Second, ElBaredei has demonstrated he is anti-Israel.

Whatever

To this I would say all of us should join together and sing:
Kay Sara Sara...

...whatever will be will be

Zechariah 14
1Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Well the absolute - undeniable beauty of this is - it is not this poor man who may differ in views and beliefs -- From You....

But it is the wonderdous BEAUTY of Scripture being fulfilled. Surely this is the most wonderful event imaginable -- for nothing more solidly Proves that GOD is GOD.

Indeed - if this is the Day of the LORD - then what will come to pass is 'unstoppable' - FAITH ALONE will be able to prepare us for what's to come.

May this be - Bring it on - TEST OUR FAITH - SEE WHO STANDS.

All hell is breaking loose..self annihilation is coming..

Chaos in Cairo as Mubarak backers, opponents clash

CAIRO – Thousands of supporters and opponents of President Hosni Mubarak battled in Cairo's main square Wednesday, raining stones and bottles down on each other as gunshots rang in the air. In scenes of uncontrolled violence, government backers galloped in on horses and camels, only to be dragged to the ground by their rivals and beaten bloody. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110202/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_egypt

This is somewhat reminiscent of the pro-Iranian thugs trying to break up resistance. I don't think these demonstrations mean much in the total scheme of things - they have spoken and now need to go home and back to work.

I dont think they have jobs. That is one of the things they upset ones are supposedly upset about. What this is really about is the Islamofacation of secular Egypt, and it isnt a big deal if you dont care about the further spread of radical Islam and how it threatens to destroy Israel.

Id imagine that if the Middle East powderkeg blows skyhigh and escalates into a full blown war that wont affect the market will it...after all we are in a unstoppable bull market, right? /s

That may have been the case a few days ago when that was probably the general consensus-

Mubarak backers attack foes with firebombs, bricks.
CAIRO – Thousands of supporters and opponents of President Hosni Mubarak battled in Cairo's main square Wednesday, raining stones, bottles and firebombs on each other in scenes of uncontrolled violence as soldiers stood by without intervening. Government backers galloped in on horses and camels, only to be dragged to the ground and beaten bloody.

Now this:

All things considered it is amazing that all parties involved have maintained their composure as well as they have, the army in particular. Given time this whole thing may well work itself out quietly, as such things go. On the other hand in such things there are always parties which will want to set things off to further their own interests. Perhaps these pro Government demonstrators are just that. Surely there are more than a few "Fundamentalist" factions who would profit from a blood bath.

I believe if you trace the threads of history you find this over and over...

The French were upset about raising 'Retirement Age' -- the Government wins.

Greece was hugely upset about their situation and raised a big ruckus - the Government wins.

Iran - remember the elections - ...

all these things get squashed over time.

Call them whatever you will but on the whole they are 'Revelutionists' - demanding a Revelution.

Vietnam protestors --- same thing.

***************************************************

In essentially every situation I can think of 'The population at large' matters only to the extent that they 'conform' with their Government and how that Government views the Nation's best interest.

****************************************************

Multiple Nations - closer to Egypt - ban anything related to Egypt's termoil from their Media. So from our perspective we see Censoring at the most substantial levels.

This same Censoring dominated our own Media with the build up to the VN War and thousands of documents associated with it -- LEAST the whole population get upset and Demand an end.

*******************************************************

To the largest degree --- we are seeing this type of activity becoming more common place throughout the WORLD as the corruption from the small elite in power obtain increasing wealth and greater control.

The 'JOY' for us in the USA - is that they are foreigners that have nothing to do with our everyday lives and to some degree - it becomes a source of entertainment.

When -- and if -- this kind of thing would ever happen in the USA -- it will be to the amusement and entertainment of all other Nations.

**************************************************

So Kay Sera Sera -- and I'm sorry if I sound calloused... seriously

But stuff like this happens and then it gets squashed and we forget it and something else happens.

Anyway -- goodnight all

News stories are saying the pro-Mubarack folks are using live fire. Now would be the time for the Army to separate the opposing forces before more death results.

Report on Huckabee's visit to Israel highlighted that nation's nervousness over potential outcomes. Who said you're not paranoid if everyone IS trying to kill you? And with current attitude of the USG, the hopes for really immediate support if needed ala the 1970s....gotta influence thinking

800 injured and 5 casualties yesterday, today, they are attacking the media and journalists. Someone tell Anderson Cooper to get the heck out of there!

I've got a temporary fix for Egypt......Give everyone a gun and they will all go home, now that's thinking outside the box!

Can this Egypt thing be considered a Civil WAR? What part should the USA play in a CIVIL WAR in another country?

We need to mind our own business and protect only what is ours in the area..like ships and people, etc.

Ahhhh (a genuine sigh of sheer contentment)

Looking out my office window at the beautiful snow.

The Sun is up and the Sky is BLUE.
Everything is peaceful and beautiful.

Perhaps the best thing we can do is leave this little quabble to Egypt and strive to NOT put our 2 cents in. None of us are really qualified to know what's happening and everything involved - so dear friends don't let this matter 'ruffle your feathers'.

There is a group that wants 'change' - but Government itself is 'Neccessay'. Look at our dear wonderful friend (and brother) the Pineapple that was taken from Panama. Let's not forget the lovely 'godess' in the Phillipines with hundreds of shoes and her delightful husband -- that we brought to Hawaii -- that they might escape the turmoil and know and enjoy only the very best.

Then least we forget Bill Clinton and his 'heroic interaction' of granting 'freedom' to one of the richest men in the world and letting him go to a country where -- no one could ever bother him again.

So things often work in ways beyond what we would have thought possible. I say ... the kids have had their fun ... now it's time for them to behave -- go home -- be productive -- or bear with the consequences.

It is a beautiful world -- have a great day everyone!!

Egypt - Whats the collateral damage now?

I read they are throwing sat. dishes off rootops on the people in the street.

Cairo Museum Reportedly Catches Fire After Molotov Cocktail Thrown

Ancient artifacts are meaningless to the mohammadans. If it does not glorify the pederast megalomaniac then it should be destroyed.

Example: Taliban and the ancient Buddhas of Bamyan

I recall that when I went into the army there were still a lot of vets carrying around chunks of lead and steel from the last time we stuck our nose into someone else's revolution. We never had much luck with such things so as in the last instance our beak is best kept out of it. That's unless you have a substantial interest in Boeing, General Dynamics ect......

I would be bothered if the tooth fairy refused to come to our country. If something of that magnitude would happen -- who knows what kaos that would create.

All we can do is let this disturbance run its course.

In the meantime -- I'm ready for a little snack. ;):):)
