I love this thread. Reading through these posts nearly has me on the floor laughing.

In ekatteng's defense though, I remember he posted some months back that he bought some software that he was going to be testing and adjusting. So, he has never really tried to mislead any of us into thinking that he made this super neural AI software.

There are all kinds of add-ins for databases and spreadsheets. I first heard about this stuff at a conference where a speaker was focused on Geographical Information Systems.

I have no doubt that there is a huge application for the stock market, in fact - isn't this the foundation of the quants? (keep in mind, these quants are in part, credited for much of the volatility we saw during the last pullback).

I tried using one of those neural network add-ins for Excel, but forgot all about it. I think I was putting in the wrong data. I was putting in the prices and average prices, but I probably should have put in the different price changes instead.

Every dog has his day. Run with it and good luck. I would agree with the others about trying to keep it in one thread. If you need help ask, sometimes we're slow but we will get to it. And some times you just need to bump it up to remind us. The message board is getting very big. That dang work thing keeps getting in the way of my message board time. LOL

FogSailing, You got the concept correct, and it reminds me the last two years of high school when used Nicolas Piskunov's Differential and Integral
Calculus.

I feel very confortable like an airman amoung all the five stars generals on the DDMT where the daily insight thread from the Neural Network System will be posted. Sometimes you have to talk to the top people to be listen and get something done. Never be afraid to rock the boat. I will use my ekatteng account to discuss and answer questions about it as it suppose to be for....

ChemEng, In my faith I humble myself and thanks my Creator for the mind and wisdom The Divine shares with me everyday... Nor I use astrology like some others who claims it has effect on the market. I know, it indeed does due to the gravitational effects on natural disasters...

ChemEng, That is the beauty... It is an exact science and at the same time an art. It does not matter how good your system is their is always something that goes beyong yourself where the matter is only explain by some kind of unknown called or miscalled faith. Bottomline all systems are just a weighted coins on your favor or against you....
