Ok, now you are starting to scare me. Lunar cycles trump economic data? Or is that overstating it?

Jellobrains, welcome aboard! The lunar cycle is just a small part of the ebbtracker. But like I said before, during those weeks the ebbtracker takes in the most losses. I can't stand by idly and do nothing, so I make my adjustments accordingly and it seems to take care of the problem.

When I started I used to put weight on recent economic data, but then I realized that the capturing/gathering of daily market data that I do on a daily basis already does that and more. Now I've got thousands of past historical patterns to compare with the present patterns. In a nutshell that's the ebbtracker.

Don't be expecting the ebbchart to produce great gains every month, though. It will have its down cycles and uptrend cycles. Hopefully we get more of the latter. And I don't even want to try to time these cycles. I just ride it like a mechanical bull (no emotion).

One more thing, my favorite cycle -- the Popsicle! :)

definitely effects the 'ebbnflow' of the tides :)

Exactly! We can tell the exact temperature by how many times a cicada (insect) makes their chirping sound. There's a rhythm out there. The market has rhythm. I got rhythm...I got music...I got my gal...Who can ask for anything more. Sorry about that, got a bit carried away there. :o

There are NO sacred cows! hehe

Dang, budnipper1! Someone beat me to it. I hope I don't get sued for any copyright infringement. :)

The market has cycles. The ones closest to understanding it shall inherit the pudding pie. Race you to it! :D

Wasn't there a song "Ebb-tide" or something like that recorded in the 50's? Can't think of who sang it, but now can't get it out of my head. "First the tide rushing in..."

Ebb Tide

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Ebb Tide" is a popular song, written in 1953 by lyricist Carl Sigman and composer Robert Maxwell.
It has been recorded many times, the best-known versions include those by Frank Chacksfield & His Orchestra (1953), Frank Sinatra (1958), The Platters (1960), Lenny Welch (1964) and the Righteous Brothers (1965). Jerry Colonna also recorded a version.

After you hear it on this youtube clip, you shouldn't have a problem getting it out of your head anymore...

First the tide rushes in
Plants a kiss on the shore
Then rolls out to sea
And the sea is very still once more
So I rush to your side
Like the oncoming tide
With one burning thought
Will your arms open wide
At last we're face to face
And as we kiss through an embrace
I can tell, I can feel
You are love, your are real
Really mine in the rain
In the dark, in the sun
Like the tide at its ebb
I'm at peace in the web of your arms

Wow! I remember when these first came out. Not ashamed to say I still love that song, and that kind of music, and those artists. Wow! Nostalgia!
Thank you, Now dusting off some of the old vinyl. I Praise and thank God for my existance, and thanks Ebb for some profits, and good luck to all who enter here.

Ebb,

If you factor in the lunar cycle for Monday does it change the call? We all know that the moon does change peoples moods. An example is that ERs are busy during full moons. I am sure it would have an effect on traders outlooks on the markets and how well a stock purchase might or might not provide a gain to their portfolio.

Ebb, now that the monitor period is over well you continue to post until tom comes up with the plan? Again thanks tsptalk is a morning fix just like my coffee:D

What do you mean by this? " I won't be including Thursday's contrarian move among these for reasons I have explained at length on my talk thread "

What exactly won't you be including and where will it not be included?

Whitemingo, the lunar cycle that pertains to the ebbtracker takes place around the week of the full moon (boy, that sounds whacky). After today (Friday), the ebbtracker should be on an uptrend (cresting). I can't say I believe it is affecting the system, but I am just glad of the coincidence of this lunar cycle coinciding with the ebbtracker's down cycle (trough). That's one less down cycle to deal with in my book. Now, instead of losing ground during this period, I actually am gaining some serious percentage. :)

Hi ya cap32! I'd still be hanging around my thread and other threads like always. Same-mo, same-mo. :D

Jellobrains, sorry about that confusion. I just meant that I still consider the contrarian pattern's continued string of four saves in a row unbroken due to the misplay (on my part) yesterday. But for what it is worth, I did include the wrong move in all the tallies just to be on the up-and-up. :)
