Ebbnflow,
Congratulations for the precise entry point today. Let's hope the ebbtracker stays on top of the situation. I believe you also gained, having been at the F fund until today? That's great. keep it up!

Thanks, sponsor! Got it right with the I-fund getting the -FV. The F-fund can be your friend sometimes and bite you in the rear when you least expect it. :o

Not so fast. Looks like you got it just right with the help of an FV. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Thanks, Wheels! Been on a roll since December 20, 2006. I counted the days the ebb tracker had been right in picking between stocks/safe haven, and it has now equaled my streak of eight from last year. I hope I didn't put the kibosh on the lucky streak! :cheesy:

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but Barclays repriced the F fund and I fund overnight. The new prices are F = 11.18 (+0.04) and I = 22.44 (+0.22). I guess someone forgot to include Mondays big gain. Is this the second or third time that fund prices changed overnight?

I'll put that down as 1 Kibosh.

I should have known it was too good to be true. The ebb tracker is in its down cycle with the full moon week thing (I've mentioned this before!). As much as I want to be on the I-fund, the ebb tracker has next Monday thru Thursday in the red. Good luck on those staying 'cause I'm headed for the hills (G-fund, not F-fund). Remember, sidestepping a loss is just as good as a gain any day of the week. :D

Ebbnflow,
I appreciate your flexibility and heads-up to go to the safety of the G fund. In no way does this detract from what I have seen your ebbtracker yield so far. Keep it up. Have a great day all!:)

People might think I'm not serious about the ebb tracker's down cycle in sync with the week of the full moon. These are from the TSP tracker's confirmed results of my IFTs from June thru January. That's a total loss of -5.66% during these times.

Full Moon (JUN 11) SUNDAY
Affected weekdays (JUN 12-16) -0.53%

Full Moon (JUL 11)
Affected weekdays (JUL 10-14) -2.90%

Full Moon (AUG 09)
Affected weekdays (AUG 07-11) -1.46%

Full Moon (SEP 07)
Affected weekdays (SEP 05-08) +0.69%

Full Moon (OCT 07) SATURDAY
Affected weekdays (OCT 10-13) +0.09%

Full Moon (NOV 05) SUNDAY
Affected weekdays (NOV 06-10) +0.63%

Full Moon (DEC 05)
Affected weekdays (DEC 04-08) -0.53% (JUN thru DEC = -4.00%)

Full Moon (JAN 03) New Year '07
Affected weekdays (JAN 03-05) -1.66% (JUN thru JAN = -5.66%)

ebb,

Good work and thanks for sharing you data. The more people we have looking at every aspect of cycles, chart analysis, trend, economic data, and so on. The more of an advantage it gives us. Also well done on you "ebb tracker"!

Thanks, Show-me! It's the only week that's been problematic with the ebb tracker. The only week that's shown an aggregate loss for me, also. Otherwise, it's been great. :D

Change of plan for Wednesday (01/10/07). The pattern I had for this day shows a lot more trend that goes red, but the green ones, although less, still produced more dinero. This is going to be a one day move to the I-fund and then I'm back to the G-fund for Thursday and Friday. :D

Ebbnflow,:)
Thank you for posting your allocation.

I have to dust off my basic trading manual and reread the part where it says, "the trend is your friend." Wanting to be on the I-fund so bad really messed up my game plan. And, if I'm going to try a play like that, I should have been on the computer before twelve yesterday. All I can say is ouch! Back to the G-fund I go. :D

I've lost more than +3.00% in a single day, and lived to tell about it again and again. The important thing is to stay calm and collected. Finished putting the S and C-fund's price data in the ebb tracker. Using the S/C-fund instead of the I-fund yesterday would have helped a lot! I see no play with the I-fund this Friday, but I do have a buy signal from the S-fund. Just made an IFT to the S-fund today. :D
