E-cigarettes/Vapor devices

i had somebody ask me if i was worried about the health risks of vapor nicotine. i told them that is like asking a smoker if it hurts a little when they prick their finger with a needle after spending 30 years trying to hack their arm off with a machete.

the ecigs are a good crutch to hold the physical routine and timing and familiar delivery of the drug. i let myself vape as much as i want right now as long as i don't go buy a pack of smokes. after a few weeks clear maybe i will moderate frequency of vaping. then you can step down levels of nicotine from 2.4% - 1.8 1.2 - 0.6 - 0.0. at some point along the curve i imagine the whole exercise becoming silly and just throwing them away. that's the plan anyway. i've never been addicted to heroin, but i bet it is like this.

re pecker: i hardly ever use it anymore anyway.

re motivation: most addicts respond better to positive encouragement rather than negativity. progress is progress.
As long as you have a goal and a plan, it might work for you..seems you have the determination to succeed..stick to it..

To add..You once asked me how I did it...I just got home, back from my semi-annual post cancer check-up...after 5 years, All Clear..there's my motivation;)

thanks.

burro,

Do you use the refillable cartomizers?

I use: LINK - EVOD

Which uses a reservoir and an atomizer. I got sick of carts after 2 and a half years of refilling and burning out.

Since I switched to the atomizer version 6 months ago, I am on my third atomizer. 5 atomizers = $15.....

Plus I can mix and change flavors easier.

FYI

I agree, filling those Carts up is a pain, like others, I've used them all, I happen to enjoy the flavor/hit profile of carts and found a great compromise with these (a cart surrounded by a tank). I have been using them for over a year, the carts also last longer because they never dry out.

a friend of mine offered to get me one of those fancy ones. i shied away because i am not really the hugh heffner silk smoking robe type. i'm more like give me a quick hit out back of the gym between classes kind of guy and show me your (oops got censored, i meant to say boobs).

i went with V2, off the internet. decent points and rewards program, good flavor, it is what i found and it is working. i somehow am attached to the white simple familiar cigarette form. i got an auto and a manual battery. i like the manual one because i can make it hit hard instead of sucking all the time.

i am finding that keeping up with the cartridge change outs is expensve and best to buy in bulk. i ordered some eliquid to save money but i think the hassle of filling individual cartridges over and over will turn out not worth the time vs. buying prefilled in bulk. i just want the nicotine right now and to not buy marlboros.

those atomizers with big resevoirs might work for me later. but i still am attached to the cigarette look and feel at this point.

i calculate all the cartridge/liquid solitions down to 'per pack' equivalent cost. i can vape at $1.25 or less per pack vs. 5.25-6.75 per real pack of smokes at convenience store.

what do those atomizers run per pack equivalent? and how quick/easy to fill?

On a side note:

I can only speak to The Federal Aviation at the Academy, as they have implemented a banned on the use of any type of vapor devices (E-cigs) in any of the campus buildings..they are treating them as though they were just like cigarettes.

I don't get it either..The ones that use to toke in my classes, actually gave the room a rather pleasant aroma with the various flavors they came in..At least it was better than someone's fart.

5 = $15

The fill aspect is simplistic, Unscrew liquid cap, unscrew reservoir, fill to level (see-through window). Screw reservoir on, screw on cap to liquid.

Takes longer to type it than do it. I order liquid from DFW = 30 MG = $12 lasts me a month.

if 30 ml ~ 30 packs, i am a 45-60 pack a month person. are you saying for 15 initial infrastructure investment and 25 per month i vape and deliver nicotine to my system all i want?

1 atomizer /month - $3
1 30 mil bottle / month - $12

$15/month vaping costs and yeah, pretty much anywhere I want whenever I want.

(I accidentally typed MG when it should have been ML)

ok, i am on the ecigs now.

.

these are the best things ever. nothing else has worked, and i tried it all. i actually like and prefer them over real smokes. i have not gone without a cigarette for more than a day since 1984. .

The way I figure it, you must have been 5 years old when you started smoking cigarettes...just saying.;)

no, actually it was my mom and dad what should've used a rubber. but it's too late for that now.

now there's at least one more mini me running around loose, and he don't use the shift key neither.

Oh man... Burro is my age... aaaarg

Frixxx, had no idea you were a smoker... that is one advantage to these e-cigs, you don't smell... sorry folks, but smokers, well, smell... permeates everything...

Wait, I think I now remember you using one after our last lunch... totally forgot and didn't think twice about it. No matter, just an interesting thread to take me away from my dwindling balance in my investment account...

bUSTER, i DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE SUPPOSED TO USE THE SHIFT KEY... i GUESS THEY DIDN'T TEACH THAT IN kEYBOARDING cLASS IN hIGH sCHOOL...

Oh man... Burro is my age... aaaarg

what is the 'aaaarg' all about? is it because you feel like an old stuffy fuddy duddy when compared to my youthful playfulness and childlike delight with the world? it's never too late to be young you know.

Wow burro, you are about the same age as me, unless it took you extra years to be a junior in 1984. :toung:

actually it was almost the other way around. my birthday is days before the cuttoff to be in the class of '86. instead i was always the youngest kid in my class of '85.

and they almost advanced me one grade, but they decided against it because i was already the smartest little nerd and a late bloomer so they were afraid they bigger kids would pick on me even more.

it does probably explain why i have a thing for gals a bit older than me though.
